Everything happen like a domino: 1st event, Mahathir resign, even after being advice by Agong not to resign. Agong then appointed him back as interim PM. 2nd When PM resigned, all minister appointed revoked on Mahathir request. PH government collapse. 3rd Bersatu decided to move out from Pakatan Harapan.(PH). PH government lost majority in parliment. 4th Barisan National proposed Mahathir as PM. This actually make PH panic. 5th PH later come up with a proposal to appoint Mahathir too, so what happen to Anuar (he was forgotten). Now 2 parties trying to get MP support under their wing for Mahathir. 6th Grand even, both side did not get enough support for Mahathir PM nomination. 7th While PH busy to get enough MP support, BN with the support of Sarawak party, PAS, independent MP and Bersatu, Switched and agreed to give full support for Nominate Muhyiddin. A big shocked to Mahathir and PH. 8th Muhyiddin gets more then enough support from parlimen MP. Muhyiddin present to Agong signed SD from supporting MP. Muhyiddin manage to proof support. As stated in Malaysia Constitution , one Agong satisfied and believed that the candidate have enough support, Agong agreed the appoint Muhyiddin as 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia. Whatever triggered Mahathir resignation is surely from the last presidential committee meeting of PH. All the other events is just a side track activities, like meeting etc. Nothing would move without a meetings. Regardless who and where they held the meetings. Bottom line , it just politics. Matured politic. Malaysia still peaceful and life move as usual. For Singapore, it a bit an upset because their brothers and cousin party, DAP lost their power. What we learned from this turnmoil is that Malaysia last GE14, was tarnish with foreign influence such as by NED from USA. (NED declared them self after PH win) using all social media medium in their control to influence Malaysian voters decision.

To be frank, Anwar wldn't be able to carry the torch for long. The foundation of his support is weak. His (at least on appearance) empathy to minorities plus fairer racial representation of his coalition party will only drive away support from the pro-malay elements within. They only banded with PH to drive out Najib in 2018. The paradox is as this party becomes more successful in governing and policy-making, it will derive greater suspicions or resentment from the pro-malay elements as the threat to their privileges and authority becomes more apparent. No one can be certain that such feelings only apply to the politicians. It could become ground sentiments as well. Such coalition has failed even before achieving this level of maturity which tells you pretty much the poor appetite for such changes. Like it or not, only Mahathir has the political capital to band all the various groups together. Not perfect, but at least the government can function.

Nice but half-cooked. Fyi Malay only consisted of 56% of majority, another 12.8% is pribumi of Sabah Sarawak, so this makes 68.8% of Malaysia or 'Malay land origin'. The new cabinet its actually the best as it represents of all Malaysia peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. Another 31.2% is non-bumi which Chinese, Indian and others. We still have 4 chinese MP in cabinet and 2 Indian MPs, why? because mca (malaysian chinese association) only have 2 chinese seats, 2 from GPS (Sarawak coalition). 2 indian mp from MIC (malaysian indian congress). Thus chinese and indian MPs all get a place in cabinet. Plus a sarawak party coalition (GPS) make quite a number in cabinet really a smart move by a new PM. This we call multicultural. In the pakatan cabinet it not balance where sabah sarawak make a tiny represantative in cabinets. The real issue not really a race card, it is more on economic issues. Where is Malaysia in the last 2 years? Our finance minister Lim Guang eng (from Dap) not really a competent guy. Malaysia stock market change from the world's longest bull market to the world's worst stock market in history last year. Our ringgit went lowest in history since Pakatan Harapan took over. Within 22month, our market lost more $340B since pakatan took the office, not to mention our market lost another $42B in a single day when Mahathir resign. People losing job everyday, people not spending, no foreign direct investment, no job creation. We basically stuck with political war between Mahathir and Anwar and also the incompetent of our finance minister. Many mega-project called off. How can a country grow when u not spending? Not to mention Pakatan Harapan decision to revert back to SST from GST. Our government lost a lot tax revenue, and heavily depend on oil revenue, even in last year's budget is based on projected oil revenue at $60 per barrel, look at oil price now, ranging around $30usd per barrel. The BN coaliton in 9 years under so called 'corrupted-cleptocracy' under Najib, our market gain almost $1T. So compared to so-called clean government in 22 months our market lost nearly $400B. Tell me who should i trust? numbers or politicians?
@johnwig2854 жыл бұрын
Ofc under a corrupted govt u can gain much more when deals are made under the table. It aint rocket science. The country was alr in debt before PH took over even with the so called "gains". Why are u cherrypicking just the 1 trillion and not mentioning the losses which led to debt? PH ruled for only 2 years and you expect them to magically overturn a shit economy left behind by the prev govt within such a timeframe? No wonder corrupted politicians will always be voted and supported, ur ethics and morality is fucked when u are inclined towards a corrupted official just because it appears as tho he help the country's economy when clearly the money isnt clean and deals were made under the table.

@Zirconia Ms bruh Malaysian Chinese speak better Malay than Singapore Malay, Wat u mean... Nyonya is a dying culture, nyonya is the birth of Chinese marrying Malay if I'm correct. And there a huge difference in mainland Chinese and Malaysia Chinese, different accents, different custom, etc. The main point why Chinese started to "hang out with " the Malay is due to the racist propaganda that started a few hundred years ago, before that Malays like Chinese cuz they are traders thus richer. Some how, racist towards non Malay, more specifically non Muslim, Malay = Muslim (Malaysia law btw) . Due to the nature of Islam, force conversion is a must, and most Chinese didn't like that. They prefer to mingle with the those with similar culture. And worst still, racist polices towards non Malay/muslim that lead Singapore to leave Malaysia is still present. Many Malay kept saying that laws is to protect the Malay right to come first as the original ppl of the land. And that don't make sense, look at Singapore, most ppl are given the same amount of opportunity, unless u have connections. There's a reason why serrated schools in Malaysia is common due to the racism and unequal opportunity towards the non Malays. Personally I think Islam is the problem, any kind religion must be separated from the state so that religious beliefs will not affect the laws and will treat all the citizen as equally as possible.

The Malaysian Parliament was not dissolved. If it was dissolved, every seat in the House of Commons or Dewan Rakyat would've became vacant. No more MPs. Hence, an election has to be held. What happened was, the Prime Minister resigned (as he felt he no longer has the majority support) which automatically dissolved the Cabinets. No more Ministers.
@iguava4 жыл бұрын
Ughhhh! Half of this explanation is misleading. The King did not just choose the next PM. You left out a huge chunk of important information. He interviewed each and every MPs to know who they support as a leader or Prime Minister. At that point, he didn't care which (new) coalition hold the most chairs. If after the interviews, he found out that there is not a single MP received a strong majority support. Then and only then he can dissolve the Parliament and Malaysia has to be ready for a snap General Election. But that did not happen, because Muhyiddin received the support from most of the MPs. How did he get the majority? Google the news out and you shall understand.

Hi. I’m a Malaysian. And I follow politics closely. I am not a member of any political party. While I commend the effort taken to make this video, there are many inaccuracies. Mainly on the reason why PH collapsed. It sure wasn’t because of Bumiputera affirmative policies or whatsoever but mainly the power transition date and who would be PM. The coalition made an agreement to make mahathir pm in the beginning and later on Anwar would take over ( you are inaccurate to say this was because mahathir said so, it was a discussed agreement. For all you know mahathir didn’t like this agreement but agreed for the sake of the country cause majority in coalition supported ). Anyways , the transition date of power kept changing from 2 years to 3 years to the final presidential council meeting 2 days before the collapse happened where mahathir said and I quote “ it’s up to me when to give up power. They have give me full support on when to give up. Up to me whether to give up or not “ . To cut a whole story short, majority of mps in pakatan supported anwar to be the next pm BUT all 26 Bersatu mps , and several mps in the opposition ( umno, pas ) and parties in Sabah n Sarawak supported mahathir. This would make anwar POSSIBLy have a slim majority or none. Also there were indications that although mahathir said he would step down, he also said anwar needed the majority of support in parliament to be the next pm. There were really strong indications that he wouldn’t step down if majority mps of parliament (meaning opposition as well) wanted him to be pm. He was sort off open to the idea. To cut a long story short, bersatu left the ph coalition to join forces with umno and the rest of opposition members so that mahathir could remain pm. But this was against mahathir’s will. Cause he did not want to work with UMNO given their party leaders corruption and 1MDB. Hence in the end they all supported muhyddin instead. The end

@@universalchanneltv9394 I'm shocked that you dont know who took the money? Seriously you dont know? The previous government was hiding about it the whole time. Your tax payers money of all hard working malaysians was taken and pocketed by greedy politicians. Your government came up with 1mdb fooling poor Malaysians. Transferred money through shell companies. They took huge loans and cant service it. So they took money from somewhere where its within reach , Tabung Haji is one example. 7 percent dividends drop to 1 percent. Bottom line is you guys are fucked! You poor Malaysians would have to work for 20years to pay back this huge debt. Good luck!
