Literally what I thought. How can someone be complaining about top 100 when there's only 100 slots available for the whole player base? And also about seeing new players at high ranks. Why is that a bad thing? Yes it highlights the problem of if you have enough time and money you can buy your way to the top. But it's a pvp gacha game centered heavily around rng mechanics. So who cares who's at the top at that point? Arena sucks, yes, but not for half of the reasons he made in this video.

The arena is horrible right now. Win and keep your win streak all day, come back next day and you have lost all your gained points... You see a interesting defense that you might want to try but if you lose you will lose so many points, so you go for the boring safe opponent... Matches take soooo long, I groan every time Ruele rezzes because the match took so long already that i forgot she still has a rez. And then she rezzes another unit and I have to kill that enemy again, and again and again... And then because all the defenses look alike, you accidently use your aoe team against a team that has a different light knight (Krau) in place of the nornal light knight (ml Ilynav) that you fight and it will either take EVEN longer or you lose... All this for what? Points that will be gone the next day...

What they should have done was cap the max points for the highest rank, then it becomes an actual battle to see who can keep the spot by end of season.

the problem is when top 1 player spends hundreds flags a day and he gets +9 pts per attack at best: +6 because he attacks opponent's much less point than he is and +3 winstreak bonus that starts from +30 consecutive victories for legend rank, the player he's attacking loses 10 pts. because it's now the minimal points you're losing on defeat. and you can lose 12 pts or probably even more if you get attacked by opponents with lower score than yours. The current arena system benefits whales with a lot of time doing arena and punishes everyone else.

Even if its 9 points per win he only spent about 500 flags; you get about 100 or so free in a week so only about 2600 Skystones. And guess what? He doesn't actually have to spend any flags for WEEKS because you only drop about 1000 points in Legend per week due to defense losses now. (From Monday -> Saturday you drop maybe 200 points, and then 800 points in the last 5 hours Sunday) This is how the Arena system works now. People who pump and dump flags Week 1 basically guarantee they get a Legend Frame by the end of the Season and people like Tumeric have a high chance of getting a Top 3 Frame by barely having to play at all for the rest of the season. He should climb to 20,000 points to solidify it. Basically a Top 3 frame is now just Time and Skystones. Anyone who is hurt over this apparently doesn't realize that Top 3 frame was just Time and Skystones before too you just had to do it every single week.

The amount of points you gain is so little than the the amount you lose from losing. Which makes it so hard Climbing up, you have to ensure you don't lose.

The rewards are good, but the arena system itself doesn't work at all. A drastic change is needed here, also so that a defense doesn't win even if you pay. Something is wrong in my opinion

Glad to see we had exactly the same defense log. BTW, I finished like ranked 120 last season missing legend by 2 games, and i feel really bad about the start of this season. All my units are built toward Arena as i don't play much RTA. I feel like being glued in a mud. Everyday i win 300 points and the night I lose the same.

This game is already pay to win anyways so there’s already no balancing to PvP at the top. The top will always just be ppl that pay (even more so in the system), and I can see SG trying to be greedier before this game dies off. Ik that this game’s revenue went up but I don’t see it surviving for over 1 more year if they just go through the motions again. I play casually so idc about PvP as a hard stuck champ, but the competitive validity of this game is already soiled.

Champion 4 is 5200 AND top 3000, i am in champion 5 and i am like #37000, so you need to reach top 3000 to rank up

@dealiburbd7264 but getting reset to the lowest of your rank prevented me from playing arena as a whole because I got my 800 skystones every weak wirhout playing. Now I have to keep my rank in emperor and have to actually play for it. The only downside is that you can spend skystones for the refills and basically grind forever. I like the new system more even with it's big flaws.

I'm sorry Canna but whatever you are complaining right now is also a thing in the past arena before the change. The only difference is that defenses are easy to solve now. Like, your team can be beaten in auto using SSB team. But I agree that the point system is super ridiculous. Last time I am at 11k pts and I'm still in Champion IV. Getting to Legend I seems impossible now for casual players

To be fair, your Arena Defense team is what I want to see because Zio makes that cleavable. Especially when I can use ML Roana as well to trigger Seaseria and finish up with Briseria while blocking your Ruele's chance to revive. I think plenty of people smartened up to that. I find it more risky to gamble against someone that has potentially a fast team with a Belian in there where I have to slot in Frida instead of someone that can deal with something else that may be threatening like a Revive. But yes, I do think the Arena change was pointless however. Not a fan.

Well unless you can be within the top 3000 players there is no way for anyone to even get out of Champ V. I tried to climb once and i never made out of Champion V. Never doing that again was a complete waste of time You lost points because SG didn't want anyone to camp. Since the top players can speed run to the top and permanently get the rank and NO ONE could beat them since they could not lose points. Like what TristenWulf said. They speed run to the top and only play on the reset day since they can never lose any points if they don't do arena. Use the skystones to buy out the stuff they missed and still make a profit

it's a P2W game and these are the traits of what spending can do, no matter what change comes to the game because the company wants the money to dominate the game they will always leave backdoors open and this is what happens when they do it, this type of game will never truly fix these problems unless the company accidentally closes the door which is highly unlikely and even if it happens they will make sure to fix it, because they want money not our smile.

I agree with a lot of your thoughts. I basically have to play half the day just to stay afloat since I did not grind to 12k points the first week. The system right now is frustrating and it is awful feels bad time to wake up and I’ve dropped from Emperor 4 to Champion 3, I slept like six hours?! Goodness. You lose a streak and it adds on hours of playing in this slow tanky meta.

I'm so friggin' miserable in arena lately. It's not fun at all anymore. I guess that's just how it goes when they change stuff for the worse overall, and of course Harsetti being in the game. I'm just gonna wait out this "defense meta" and hope for something better as soon as possible. In the meantime I won't care one bit about arena, unless they improve it significantly. IMO getting the 1st time rewards is worthit but once you got it for 1 season it's no longer that much worth it. Well, of course there're people who just wanna get to the top for no reason or for whatever reason it may be, but for most players, it's not worth the skystones in exchange of the rewards you get. I also don't understand those who debunked me back then saying "you will earn more skystones nowadays compared to the old system in terms of hitting NPC". Back then I was just sitting at challenger 1 and I can earn almost 2k skystones per week just hitting NPC arena alone coz u know what? I kept track of my hourly flag regeneration not only for the conq points but also for the cooldown of the NPCs, right now? I'm just sitting in champ but getting to 2k skystones per week is almost close to impossible now due to the fix rate od 150ss u can get per week. U wonder why I kept track on the NPC cooldowns and my flag regeneration? Bcoz as a f2p that's the only way I can get skystones as freebies, even the 4hrs and 8hrs cooldown NPCs, I can already get close to 150skystones which is equivalent of our currently weekly freebies.

I've been feeling exactly what you are describing. Arena has been the most DREADING content in the world for me at this point, and I have all the units in the game and it was a breeze reaching Legend 4 last season in the beginning. Now? I dropped from Emperor to Champs, holy crap every day is a task to reach one bracket above like Champs 5 to Champs 4. Every damn week I have to re-gear my defense, change it, change my offense to auto teams that take forever. Honestly, I'm almost dropping the game because of arena. I have no other content to do besides RTA, GVG and Arena. I'm DREADING just thinking about going back to RTA this season.

If youre trying to play on low temp/champ lvl RTA is not that bad. Just go with the mindset you won't win every game and try to have fun with some teams that makes sense. Also just ban Harsetti, fuck that character.

Took the weekend off to hang out with some friends at a cottage and now I'm trapped in champ 5 all over again. Also kind of crazy how an 80% winrate is a slog to climb with, the usual points is +8 for a win and -14 for a loss so I'm making about 18 points per 5 flags, this new system sucks.

No, it won't. Most - nearly all really, will just stop at Champ 5. I tried pushing last week and for every win I had, I got hit twice. I burned a 150 sky stones day 1 and was under 5k when I woke up Tuesday. I fought just to stay above 5k last week, not even to climb
