What Is Happening With My 2023 Subaru BRZ Order?

I’ve been looking for a GR86 since late October of last year and been put on a ton of dealerships wait list for this car and they called they have an allocation for a manual premium track red and get it early march! Waited a real long time but patience is key. Wish you all luck for those who are trying to buy one and hope you get one soon!

Ordered on the 3 Nov 22, with an estimated arrival of 30 Mar 23 on the contract. Still waiting for an update beyond the mid Jan update that my "Subaru BRZ is currently scheduled to arrive in the next few months." Hopefully it is still on track for late March.

I work for the Subaru, placed my order in August 3rd 22, its been six months. The ETA was 1/17/2023 (today). But it did not show up. Im about to give up on it and just get something else.

Update: only 7 months in and my motor blew, not from RTV but from wearing out one of the piston bearings in the block.

Ordered a Brz the last week of august and was told a delivery of November-December. No updates at all until yesterday my sales guy called and said theres a vin number and the system shows a delivery of February

I ordered my BRZ on 10/5, local dealer pushed original promise delivery of February forward 1 month to March but this provides more time for me to close in half of my carport to create a BRZ sized garage, all done proper. I ordered the upper trim, manual, satellite blue. Near term upgrades are remove the carbon filter (it may not be present in your market) to claw a few HP back, tint the windows, maybe do the roof in black vinyl and other areas protected; maybe those clear side market lights up front like you have if I'm not mistaken. Oh and the "Pedal Commander" by PRO import tuners >> makes shifting easier for not much money. Really looking forward to playing around with this new vehicle! My daily driver (and it's not going anywhere) is a 2008 diesel Mercedes SUV pushing a quarter million miles that I ordered from the factory so this BRZ is going to be a treat.

I ordered mine on May 17, and still don’t have it. It was originally scheduled to arrived on Nov. then got pushed to Dec. and to January now. Last wk the Gm called me and apologized for the delay and saying it should be arriving by the end of January! 🤷‍♂️

Ordered a GR86 in Canada at the end of January… still no update or a word of anything. The strange thing in Canada is that there is a rather large “used” market of 22+ BRZs but almost 0 used GR86s… long story short… it’s been a horrible wait and it’s made me consider so many other options… sad part is, no one makes an “equivalent” car. Smiles per $ is unmatched with the Toyoburu twins… ah well… good luck with your order and I’m happy you have a build date! Far better than me!

Hey mate that sucks to see Canada are also in the same situation as Aus. Would you consider buying a BRZ used or new instead? Ever since Toyota put the price up 5k here they've made me look at them differently and I find myself not liking them as much now 😅

Ordered a 10 th anniversary model 5/10/22 on the Gold Coast. Dealer says it's built with delivery late Jan early Feb. Apparently Anniversary models were earlier delivery, I assume because they scheduled in a production run for them in Dec?

I ordered a GR86 at the beginning of this year, and I received an update from the dealership that the only manual car that they receiving is the 10th anniversary special edition. So I took it because they only building 860 units and I would received the car in February.
