Glad I'm not the only one Marleen! I did several large hauls this year, where I loved virtually every item. Like you I check reviews and measurements eyc. However I ordered a big haul which came last week and I was so disappointed. Only one item was a keeper, and it was an item I was reordering as I had worn it to death ( so I already knew it was nice). I bought a three pack of leggings ( shein is normally my leggings go to) and they had a rib in them but literally felt like rough plastic. I bought two long rayon shirts, that looked like a cheesecloth material, and they are flowy but the fabric is rough, like a coarse linen. I got what should have been a beautiful muslin blanket as a baby gift and it had been caught folded as it was sewn so had a massive fault on the seam. A long line jumper that was actually cropped and a full 15cm shorter than given measurements!! The whole haul was just an epic fail.

Thank you for being so open & frank with your review. I too am an apple shape & love your videos coz years ago there was no such definition. As “apple shaped”. I’m 50 so remember it well. I realised earlier this year, that SHEIN had dropped their standards. I bought a playsuit to take away on holiday, and one of its boot lace strap ripped whilst trying it on. I quickly mended it, but thought to myself, that’s it for me. That was April & I’ve not used them since. I know they’re cheap, but it doesn’t mean they can sell us crap. Your haul would have been a good one, but glad you’re returning & keeping the pullover. Thank you for sharing. 💖

I think they have always been of poor quality. I've tried not to think about their appalling working conditions, high toxicity content and bad reputation. When I've ordered things. 80% of them have been disappointing to say the least. I'm surprised that you only notice that now. Low price fast fashion is bad for (our children's) planet and encourages wasteful over-consumerism of crappy tat.

@@ImjustmeMarleen I think there are other buying options available then places like this. Sales are a great way to shop as well as thrifting and consignment stores where you can often find quality pieces for very little. When items are so cheap we tend to buy much more than we really need.

Yes I agree with you I think we just need to make sure we don’t judge other on their choices. No one knows what anyone is going through behind closed doors or what budget and options they have. If we all do the very best we can hopefully that can make a small difference.

That sounds a bit exaggerated! A lot of people have noticed that shein’s quality can be pretty solid. It really varies with each piece! Finding the right fit is key, and sometimes it just takes a little digging to find the gems.

Most of what I've bought from shein have been good mainly shoes but I have donated alot of clothes as well they were not good quality. I now buy from small businesses to keep them in business. I may pay extra but they are quality and some hand made clothes and jewellery I really love vintage jewellery and i only buy what I need. xx

I would love to support more small business but i have to be honest and say that I refuse to pay €30-50 for a basic t-shirt. We have some great small businesses here but they are just too expensive.

Thanks for the honesty. I find the same thing. I am so hesitant to buy from Shein. I look for cotton and cotton blend items and I read the reviews but I have gotten a few good items.

I totally agree in relation to the importance of lining, Marleen. The red suit was nice, as was the sweater. All else was not great, but could have and should have been lovely, if properly executed. It seems Shein is going in the wrong direction. Good video. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Marleen. I used to buy clothing from Shein but now will never buy from them again because they wouldn't take a return that in the original listing did not say "non returnable". When I tried to return it they said it was a "special non-returnable item". $22 (USD) down the drain.

Marlene I have found Shein really rather hit and miss with so many items. I've some great pieces but many more that are of poor quality . Having a lining in jackets and coats is a definately must as it creates a better structure and fit.❤

I bought UK size 16 bootleg cords from Shein, they fit ok, then i lost some weight and they were really loose so i ordered a size 14 in the exact same style....they were so tight, i couldn't do them up. They fit my daughter beautifully, shes a size 10!

I've only done one shop with Shein , bought 2 summer dresses and some jewellery. One of the dresses was a completely different style to what I ordered, and the chemical smell was so strong from the dresses

Shien is trash. I was at a wedding recently and it was obvious who was wearing Shien clothes. Bad fit, creases that wouldn't come out, the lowest quality of fabrics and extremely bad tailoring. One gorl was wearing a dress made from umbrella fabric. Why do you waste your money on this crap? Go cheap, pay twice. I'm on a strict budget for clothes and would never waste it on Shien.

Hi Marlene, Ive noticed the quality is slipping a bit on Shein and Temu....Ive recently seen a couple channels saying that both Shein and Temu are being hit with new tariff and customs charges that are more expensive for them because the US is upset that Shein and Temu are seriously taking away billions away from US retailers......think that might have something to do with the quality.....So we all might see poorer quality items and higher prices......

Buying from companies like Shein isn't an especially good idea! They are just mainly fast fashion junk, poorly made, exploiting workers, and cluttering up landfills! Shein and Temu are some of the worst when it comes to wasteful consumption! The items are so cheap because the companies use the shabbiest material and hardware, don't bother with any quality details, and pay their workers next to nothing. Despicable companies! I'm sorry you were so disappointed in your selections.

Hi, you have to be really careful what you buy on these websites , I have never used Shein but I'm an avid Temu buyer . For the most part I have had reasonable quality , I got 2 jumpers the other day which are lovely and comfortable. Kids socks are amazing and so cheap . I rsalise about the exploitation of workers which obviously not good at all but wondering if they would be able to get jobs at all if it weren't for these companies ? Doesnt make it right though

Oh dear Marleen... not your best success. I have never bought from Shein so can't comment on whether their quality has gone downhill, but what I can say is that I have received items from M&S which have been creased to high heaven. I think in their case it is part of a drive to use less packaging so smallish things end up loose and unwrapped in large post bags, they move around in transit and look like a dog's dinner by the time they arrive. 😒🙄 By the way, I'd just like to say that you are not in the least bit offensive. However there are a lot of people out there who enjoy feeling offended by things and enjoy even more making their offence known. Ignore them. Xxx

He clothes you chose with the exception of one jacket coat was not fit apple shaped women. I'm apple shaped and I am almost never disappointed in shein. I've ordered a hundred items and only one shirt was bad. You have to choose tummy hiding shirts. Most of the clothes your ordered were ugly. Sorry but this true. You gotta go with a different style
