For 60fps recording, it's up to 1440p due to USB bandwidth limits. 4K30 is doable but rarely preferred due to the lower frame rate.

This guys says this is "future proof" even though the Xbox can run 4k 120hz and this can't do passthrough for that. Then he tries to defend this card not being able to passthrough at that rate by saying "not all games will run at 120". There's nearly a hundred games already that can do that on the Series X alone and that number is going to increase.

@@JohnnyInJapan people use a 4k 120hz splitter often since they don't have enough HDMI 2.1 slots on their tvs for Xbox Series X / PS5 / AV Receiver and so forth and it works. In theory it should work as well if you used a capture card instead.

I have always been recording my gameplay with the newest iPad mini and the Elgato Game Capture Card HD60. However, since that device is so old and lately sometimes the signal got cut off for a few seconds, I recently bought the Elgato Game Capture Card HD60 X. But now I discovered that with this Capture Card my gameplay footage lags heavily so now and then during my recordings, and this makes it of course impossible to synchronize my facecam with the gameplay afterwards, since the gameplay will fall behind. I was wondering if someone here records the same way as I do, and maybe knows a way to solve this problem. I guess worst case is to use my old Elgato Game Capture Card again and accept occasional signal loss since even though that is really annoying it is not as bad as lag of the gameplay. I hope someone can help me, I have been looking for hours online for a explanation, but without any luck…

The preview screen for the HD60 X on the 4K Capture Utility seems to have more input delay than the HD60 S on the Game Capture HD software. The Preview screen is how I primarily play console games, is there a way to reduce the input delay when viewing the preview screen in the software?

Update: this capture card doesnt come ready to use off the box. I experienced audio crackling on 2 cards, image issues and stuttering. Also my image froze and I had to keep messing with the cables in order for it to work.

As soon as I plug my HD60X in to my Series S the 1440p option dissappears and basically says I can only do 1080p 120hz. Yet on this video it's saying I can do 1440p 120hz pass through? 🤷‍♂️ Also my monitor is 4K 160hz so it can do all the resolutions this capture card supports, so I'm not sure why this is happening. My avermedia has no problem letting me play 1440p 120hz but I bought the HD60X because of the VRR support.
