Couple of questions: 1.- Why does the Lean Producer at 7:05 follow that sequence of production? He could have done blue, red, green, blue, red, green, blue, red, blue and it would have worked as well, wouldn't it? So how is the sequence established? 2.- In the Heijunka box there are 4 columns, not 5. Why? You don't produce one of the days?

1) But with this sequence he has more control over unexpected demand, Consider the above case, suppose if youe are manufacturing in first blue and then red and if you have a demand of Green how will you fulfill this ? with lean this helps . 2) This is just an examples. used for illustration purpose ..You can create your own

I would like to thank you. This video is very easy to understand. I'm from Brazil and the most difficult to me is the language ... You speak so fast... The problem isn't with you.. I need to practice more english conversation and listening. I would like to see the Heijunka principle on the Gemba... I guess it can be amazing.

Digital E-Learning the work place has fluctuating demand from customer and most importantly the supplier is asked for fast shipments to get raw materials for our production floor, so is there any excel file with this input which you could share? Or anyway to forecast well so that demand is well supported?

@@afifmustaqim9410 What is Heijunka? Heijunka is a technique of levelling production to reduce uneveness. What does it do? It balances the production against the demand ny two techniques : Levelling by volume and Levelling by type How does it help manufacturing processes? In a perfect manufacturing world, there would be no fluctuation. Every day you would make exactly the same number of products, of the same product type. But in real life there are flucations and this techniques helps us to leel our production so that we can plan accordingly.
