What a beautiful soul and mind. When Dr. Richter broke her emotion in Isaiah's description of Jesus, I remembered my own reaction on first reading this description of our suffering Saviour, physically broken, not to be looked upon, ripped by the scourge, hated by man. I could see His image in the poor, destroyed prisoner from the congregation of the pastor with a question. A Jewish man who suffered in much the same way as Christ, but still spiritually broken, needing to realize that God knows his suffering, because He, too suffered injustice. Forgiveness is the cure, bringing us closer to Jesus every time we try to understand what brings a person to hate enough to break another. I suffered as a child under unrelenting bullying and humiliation in school, not only by classmates, but by some of my teachers as well. From grade 1 to my senior year in high school. I was threatened with being stabbed in PE on the next cross country run; I was molested by a nun in front of the class-just for a laugh; I was forced to draw, then wear a sandwich board sign all day in school for two days proclaiming that I had the sloppiest desk in Room 5. I would cry out to God, "Why do they hate me? I never did nothing to nobody." Every night, I prayed without an answer. My sin? Only that I was different and stood out for ridicule. Small, skinny, not so good looking, but a decent student nonetheless. I hated mankind in general for a long time and never felt the presence of God in my life. Then I forgave and tried to understand what could bring a person to hate another so much, that they would wish for his innocent death. It brought me closer to Christ. He forgave His tormentors, and He forgives us our own trespasses as well. Now I feel unburdened, free from my own dark sins and thoughts. I am closer to my Lord than ever. But, it took personal forgiveness toward others to become the key that unlocked my deep love and faith in Jesus Christ. We could learn alot from the suffering of Jesus Christ, the pain of God watching His chosen people turning to other gods, their spiritual whores, and of course, the prophets like Hosea, who knew all about suffering and bore it through their faith.

Listen to the introducer....."Good afternoon, I would like to welcome you to our **Scripture and ministry lecture**." And there are **men in the ** audience. Thus as St. Paul confirms. "11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not **a woman to teach** nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." 1 Tim. 2:10-14 (KJV)

@Janice Stephenson St. Paul never jokes on such a serious matter of faith and obedience... The humble and faithful will obey.... Rebels and reprobates will refuse to comply.

@Janice Stephenson .......The Truth cannot be changed no matter how many centuries pass. But it does prove who are the true and dedicated followers of Christ and those who are not. "33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints, 34 women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35 If they want to enquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. 36 Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? 37 If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command." 1 Cor 14:33-37 (ANIV) Are you " spiritually gifted" Janice? As it is the "Lord's command" it is irrevocable, irrespective of the passing of time. But it certainly 'Separates the men [of God] from the [Devil's] boys' .

@@thewatcher7728 maybe consider the whole counsel of God's word before taking only a couple of verses and creating a contrary doctrine. For instance, read proverbs, especially chapter 3 and 8, all written from the feminine viewpoint, a mother speaking to her grown son (btw, while she is indeed teaching please note this is NOT usurping his authority). Proverbs 1:8, forsake not the law of thy mother, and interestingly enough that wisdom is equated to a feminine personna. Please do not ignore verses like Acts 2:17 are Joel 2:28. Here's another good example and John 20:17 Jesus himself sends a woman to take his message to the brethren, the most important message ever known to mankind "he is risen." Again, in John 4 Jesus himself said "I must go to this well". There the woman is destined for a divine appointment with the Lord and his exchange with her does not in the least center upon that she is a sinning, Samaritan, female. Jesus, in fact reveals Himself, that he is the Messiah for whom they have waited. She ultimately introduces a whole town to this long awaited Savior. Why didn't he rebuke her for such a thing? Throughout the pages of the Bible there are numerous women heros, Jael and Ester. And leaders, Hulda and Deborah (who btw acted as General) leading Israel to a wonderful victory all due to her faith in God and God's support of her. No matter how men try to darken it that is a fact you cannot erase. And now let me remind you of one more instance when a young Jewish girl brought forth the Savior of the world. God had to completely bypass human man. This young woman, by the Glorious God of Heaven, did what no man could possibly do, and for that we should all thank God. Sometimes the job just requires a woman and God has an arsenal full of them. 2/3 of the church today is female. Psalm 34:2 my soul shall make Her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof and be glad. note, David's soul has a female voice, note also the results when the HUMBLE hear it, they are GLAD. I wonder how glad you are. Psalms 144:12 that our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth, that our daughters may be as CORNER STONES polished after the similitude of a palace. Who else do you know of that's been referred to as Corner stone only the Lord Jesus Christ. There are countless other examples far too numerous to go into in this forum, where God uses women and their faith, talents and abilities to work His will in the Earth. You need to search out the verses that you're pointing to as doctrine. A couple of them do not appear in the original text, but were later added by scribes as in keeping with Jewish tradition. The Hebrew teaching has always been that it was Eve who failed in the garden and didn't reiterate the word of God correctly and therefore she cannot be trusted with God's word. But the real problem is she was not taught properly, she was not present when the command was given, it was up to Adam to teach her properly. Read Ezekiel 3:18 Adam was responsible for Eves understanding. And this is why God does not blame her for the fall, read Romans 5 "by one man." The Hebrew tradition is to blame Eve, another reason why Israel has never been saved. If you want to use the creation order to show the superiority of any one well then you could call the Earth ahead of Adam, right the Earth was created before Adam? You could call the animals ahead of Eve, they were created before Eve, creation order has very little to do with who follows who. We all follow God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Just to drive this point home let me bring up one more thing, in no way does Eve share the blame for the fall of mankind. In fact, women cannot pass sin at all. The sin nature comes from the natural father alone. The sins of the father are visited on the children to the 3rd and 4th Generations. Look it up. This is why the young Jewish girl could bring forth a Savior without spot or blemish, the precious lamb of God, perfect in every way, the Lord Jesus Christ. Job 14:4 who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one. Matthew 19:26 but Jesus beheld them and said unto them with men this is impossible, but With God all things are possible. So while you're busy talking of things you really don't know very much about, do stop and gather some information, and pray over this. There's absolutely no Old Testament law that says a woman has to remain silent in the assembly. 1 Corinthians 14:34. This is absolutely incorrect to be taught as the commandment of God, this is full on Hebrew tradition. Hebrew women were never allowed any interaction with the word without the supervision of first the father and then later in life the husband. She could not communicate with her friends or female relatives about the Oracles of God. This tradition is what teaching she may not understand she must ask her husband at home. You will someday have to come to grips with the fact that there are women who are called to do certain things and are enabled to do so by the power of God because it is His plan and He does not need your approval and most of all doesn't care AT ALL about your traditions. Everything and everyone belongs to God.

@@rgnold2517 You must have overlooked the Lord's commanded for a women to remain silent in the mixed assemblies, which makes it irrevocable for all of Christ's brethren & sisters. The Truth cannot be changed no matter how many centuries pass. But it does prove who are the true and dedicated followers of Christ and those who are not. "33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints, 34 women should *remain silent* in the churches. They are *not allowed to speak* but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35 If they want to enquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for *it is disgraceful* for a woman to speak** in the church. 36 Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? 37 If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command." 1 Cor 14:33-37 (ANIV) So are you " spiritually gifted" Arnold ? [ you obviously think you are!] Then show your acknowledgement of the "Lord's command" Right now! If you refuse to comply, then you prove your lack of love for the Truth, and have become a a usurper of the "Lord's command" for women to remain silent and to stop SHAMING themselves before the world and Almighty God. For as it is the "Lord's command" it is irrevocable, irrespective of the passing of time. And it's about time you understood and admitted it, and stop playing the Devil's Advocate....👹

I find it amazing that our King of kings n Lord of lords would actually use ordinary people like Isaiah .. cleanse him, call him, give him a vision and message to His people bcos He wants to give them a chance to repent n receive His restoration. What a just and compassionate God we have.

Romans 11:25 ESV:- "Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in." The partial blindless upon Israel as God's salvation is meant for all nations. You can take a look at Jacob's blessing for Ephraim ("multitude of nations / fullness of gentiles") and see if this connection make sense. Shalom!
