Suffering the past couple of years. Pain. Heartache. Misery. Absolute Aloneness. Fear. Exposed. Felt the bitter cold of the “sentence of death.” The stinging accusations of the Enemy. Reached out for the only One who is the solid rock in the midst of raging storms. As I lay on my sick bed, I listen to scripture and messages like this to focus my attention away from myself. I too am chief among sinners. Meditations on Truth. (The Absolutes e.g. God is good and holy in all His other attributes. I cannot save myself and powerless to improve my condition. Etc.). All these led to Repentance. Renewed hope-filled desires. For radical transformation of the unredeemed parts of my heart. By heart, I mean the mind, will, emotions and deepest seat of thought and decision.. His mercy. His grace. Unmeasurable. Unimaginable. Renewed faith, hope, and love. “Thankfulness” is the door to gratefulness and praise. Without borders. I plunge back into the sea of pain. Not knowing what to expect. Knowing and trusting His Sovereign better. It seems the only path to transformation between the Garden and final consummation. Yet will I praise Him. Thank you Dr. Carson for stretching the bounds of my hearts deepest thoughts and feelings.
