lmao not to be that person but your video is missing 80% of the hyper pop artists and just did not cover the genre in general this is an April fools post but just wanted to say that. Also I don't really think a lot of hyperpop songs are meant to be extremely feminine some just do tend to be and it is filled with like all the trans ppl out there. You didn't mention sugar rush which was everywhere for a while. Hyperpop is a very broad genre and is a bit hard to define just anything that pushes the limits of pop I guess but then ppl can't decide on what that even means. Since the term was coined by literal Spotify and a lot of the ppl who carried the genre back in 2020 don't really resonate with label and have all moved on like Quinn and d0llywood. It's a bit all over the place and there's just something that was a placeholder for many artists who were experimenting and famous ish ppl who were given it. A lot of hyperpop and Incelcore sound very similar and its just full of shitty weird queer kids on discord that made songs on Bandcamp who wanna be like 100 gecs or Dorian Electrica. the majority of old hyper pop artists are in their 20s now and made the music during covid when they were teens so it's full of gen zs (some r prob still teens). The hyperpop you talk about in the video are just the famous people who wanted do do pop music that is pushing the norms but when someone says hyperpop I don't think about them. But ofc with the band 100 gets which inspired so many of the kids which are the most popular hyperpop artists. Charlie xcx and Sophie were the first people to actually show a mark and change pop while being mainstream so you can't go wrong with them
