This was actually the best video explaining this whole mess, however, because you somewhat mention it. I think it is SUPER important to mention in this video the first time Ichigo's false Bankai is shown Byakuya made a very accurate statement when he explains that it is impossible for that to be a Bankai because of its size and the time it took him to obtain it.

No, Byakuya was wrong about that. He corrected himself and gave insights to Ichigo's power which is compressing the size. The theme behind Ichigo's abilities is compression and amplification.

@@AbyssalMerc There's this thing going around that Ichigo can maintain bankai for longer than other people and it's just wrong. Soi Fon's bankai is special in that it uses even a greater percentage of soul power than normal bankai to match up to the theme of 1 hit kill, hence she can't just use it like that. But she's kinda the only one with that problem. Every other captain can remain in bankai like forever if they wish to, it's just impractical for them since bankai is generally so massive, hard to carry around and not the kinda thing you can keep active without any major trouble to everywhere you go. Toshiro was the other one rumored to not be able to stay in bankai for long but it was later revealed to be a myth.

Ichigo's power is his ability to evolve. Since he is human, soul reaper, Quincy, and hollow all in one, he can infinitely evolve. As long as something forces him to evolve, he'll never have a final form. I think that's why Ywach kept breaking his bankai. He knew that Ichigo WILL evolve beyond him if he let's him. That's also why Aizen wanted to devour him, because he knew that too, and probably why he chose NOT to use his hypnosis on Ichigo, since Ichigo can't evolve past anything he doesn't actually witness first hand.

I love that!! Your theory is one I had as well. I thought the bankai would be similar to sliver of stillness because masaki threw herself on ichigo while she bled it could be possible that some of her blood had winter ichigo which makes sense since the silver is in the heart which pumps blood. Here's how I see it. His Shikai can have two states. Dual Blade and combining the two so that he can have a single Blade. This is something that Kubo said Ichigo could do if he wanted to. If he chooses to go Bankai, Ichigo can choose to have the Scabbard on the Blade or to absorb it within himself. It seems that the way to go Bankai is by pulling out the Dual Blade. That's what I got from this.

I think since his Soul Reaper and hollow powers are one and the same, Zangestu allows Ichigo the abilities of Espada level abilities while having the abilities you get as a soul reaper. So in theory, Ichigo could use stuff like Balas and other types of Ceros. Also insane regeneration.

Perfect. I also think the shikai Ichigo was supposed to release in his training with Urahara was in the form of the new Tensa Zangetsu, the complete Zangetsu where both White and Ossan are ONE, if only Ossan didn't suppress Ichigo's shinigami powers. But indeed, the real Zangetsu is the OG shikai as it represents his pure shinigami powers. The fullbring Zangetsu is when both the hollow powers truly fused with the shinigami powers and rendering hollowfication unnecessary. It would be exciting to see Ichigo using his complete and combined shikai and reveal his complete and combined bankai, Tensa Zangetsu.

The real shikai of ichigo are the 2 swords is confirmed in the sequel novel CFYOW it is said that ichigo, Ukitake and Kyoraku are the only shinigami to have a double-bladed shikai. The Bankai without the scabbard still remains a Bankai and the sword that comes out of the scabbard is the one that is used to kill Ywach and is the same sword that is seen in the image of the adult ichigo of Klab The sword that ichigo instead uses in the One Shot of Hell is not the bankai; there are 2 possibilities -O is his sealed sword -O is a new form of his 2 sword shikai In fact, the blade that comes out of the sheath of the Bankai is very different from the one used in the oneshot, there are differences in the width of the blade, in the curvature of the blade and in the hilt which in bankai is longer and without a white band.

Yes exactly, in the hell one shot ichigo's zanpakutou looked the same as false shikai but when ichigo cuts yhwach you can see that ichigo bankai zanpakutou looks completely different, it has no cloth wrapped around it. I also believe that what ichigo was using in the hell arc is his sealed zanpakutou state not shikai

This now brings up the age-old question - what is his Bankai and what does it do? If the Blade that cut Yhwach down is his True Shikai then what would his Bankai look like? So many questions left unanswered.

I think his true bankai is closer to the concept of mugetsu. In the books it's stated that his ancestor developed a technique that could replace the soul king (a higher dimension being) and free him from his bonds. And if you go by what aizen says about spirit pressure and dimensions and the fact that he could not sense ichigo means that ichigo was in a higher dimension of power and going in that direction. Additionally, this direction may actually be the direction of his full power..ie: bankai. It's mostly head canon at this point though

Whites orginal arm is Fullbring tense. OH SHIT!!!! I DIDNT EVEN CONNECT those two. I myself LOVES Fullbring tensa zangetsu. I'm getting this forged one day😁😁. Kubo is truly The best. He knows to to be subtle in his foreshadows, making us connect with kubo and have theories of our own. The way he does this is for him as well. He had a template for his story, and built it up. Retcon seems dumb to me,if the author HIMSELF connects his story is NOT A RETCON. Kubo 100%

What I interpreted from this is that the blade that we see in the final fight of Bleach where the sheathe of 'Tensa Zangetsu' is broken, and the Hell arc is his True Shikai. And the sword covered in blue Reiatsu that Zangetsu showed him in his inner world is actually his True Bankai.

very interesting, I didn't expect anyone to think the same as me since a year ago, even though it could be explored more deeply regarding Ichigo's strength, but you can find out this fact is already quite good in my opinion, even though the facts you convey and what I think are already Obviously, this will definitely be opposed by all Bleach fans who only rely on clarifications/statements in the story, which Kubo will definitely never do. extra info 13:04 zangetsu say only one of them is the "real me", i can only be defeated by "that sword". that means old man zangetsu is the real ichigo's zanpakuto.

Hmmm... This could mean that we have yet to see Zangetsu's true pure shinigami bankai form since the sword has come full circle. If so, that means Ichigo has yet to show his true power as a shinigami. That in turn means we may have yet to see the true power of his combined Shinigami, quincy, hollow and fullbring power (which I believe will recover after a certain quincey lord damaged)

I think and believe that Ichigo possesses 2 bankai the 1st one was the one where he merges the dual sword into one where what I know from the other video I watch Ichigo sheathing the sword making them one. And the last one is what Ywhach one said his bankai is far more of a threat that's why he broke it. But if you think carefully Ywhach can see the future however it is not constant. That's why he can't truly see how he was cut by Ichigo in battle. All Ywhach knows is that the sword that will cut him is Ichigo's shikai form Zangersu. It's similar to Ulquiorra where he possesses 2 forms of Resurrection.

What he's saying is in theory and from Kubo's QnA the "True Shikai" he gets when forging Zangetsu is truthfully just the sealed state of Zangetsu with the long sword being the blade and the short sword being the sheath when bringing them together Ichigo activates his shikai with it's powers restrained thanks to the outer shell which is the sheath aka the small blade referencing Old Man suppressing White, but when that outer shell is destroyed Ichigo can absorb it and unleash Zangetsu's true power and form while in it's actual true Shikai

I personally believe that the sword that he uses in the new manga is his true asauchi because it is stated that this is a sheathed version of his sword then by unsheathing at he creates his shikai which is the two swords then we need sheets that again for Bankai the Quincy Powers wraparound the Shinigami and hollow before the white on the blade is his Quincy abilities My reasoning for this is the fact that the true zangetsu underneath of the sheath doesn't have a cloth but the shikai that is used in the new Ark does have the cloth

I still think it's all a jumbled mess. Kubo confirmed that Ichigo can choose his shikai's form, whether it's dual-bladed or not. Which makes sense cause we've "seen" shikais change based on how the shinigami releases them (Yumichika) and His true bankai taking the form of his false shikai is great symbolism (although it still feels rather cheap and bland) but it just confuses me. If we go based purely off color when ichigo is dual-wielding the larger blade, which represents his hollow/shinigami powers, turns white while the smaller blade, representing his quincy powers, remains black. But when he goes into bankai the black blade represents his hollow/shinigami powers and is within a white sheathe that's supposed to be his quincy powers. I think it would've been a lot better if Ichigo's bankai kept his dual-wielding nature where the larger blade changed and resembled his false shikai, just in a smaller form, while the smaller blade changed and looked more like Ywach's sword.

BachGetsu knew that he would eventually help ichigo and kill himself by doing so. He foreshadows it with that quote. Ichigo NEVER learned his true bankai. That’s why Back breaking it DOESNT actually happen. He just PERCEIVES it because AISEN has influenced him. Ichigos Scabbard broke not old because Bach “Destroyed” it. But because BachGetsu At the VERY last moment PUSHED himself beyond the hollow and forced the memory of his “emulated” Zanpactou. (not that the true shikai was emulated but that because it’s his BACHGETSU spirit basically putting his hand on ichigos shoulder and helping ichigo) He gave ichigo a boost helping to prevent the rain to the very end. Bach thought ichigos will and actions where for him. But BachGetsu who is Bach essentially. Wants ichigo to thrive and surpass him. And ichigo did.

Ichigo doesn’t need to “relearn” bankai though as odd as that sounds. Basically he is his own sword. His bankai will never “exist” as his shikai will evolve and adapt. Tensa Zangetsu is just his BachGetsu half using VolstanDïg to evolve mixed with his Resurrection (Hollow) Which also evolves. Therefor being broken doesn’t do squat lol
