This turned out amazing, and the amount of hard work, and different things you had to learn and implement is incredible! 😅 I feel your pain, I learned many years ago to stop sharing my work with my better half if I want to maintain good self esteem and maintain great motivation lol. Over the years, no matter how good I feel about making something cool or how hard I worked, every enthusiastic sharing of my work with my girl resulted in a somewhat awkward or occasionally seemingly negative comment… she means well and I think she wants to be supportive, but she also absolutely does not have any interest in 3D / VFX / CGI. :) So a word of advice to younger folks, share your work with people that share and appreciate your passions, and don’t feel bad when/if someone comments on things they aren’t really into and don’t fully appreciate, you’ll 💯 feel great and perpetually stay very motivated doing what you love.

Haha man I can't remember how many times I told my wife 'That's the last time I'm asking you for feedback'. And then a few days later I forget all about my promise of course. Thing is she always has good points tho lol

It’s so great to have some good reliable feedback, I would love it, can not blame our wonderful partners I know how we can all get and nerd out over new gear, software features… “check out this sweet new lens 1.4 aperture”, OMG raytraced shadows, fresnel reflections all real-time … on and on. 😅 At least in my case I’m so grateful I have someone to tolerate me and my constant excitement! :)

ㅋㅋㅋ 감사합니다 ! 제가 제 강의를 초보들을 위해서 만들기는 했는데 사실 완전 처음 시작하시는 거면 좀 더 소화하기 좋고 무료인 강의들도 있습니다. 제 강의는 비교적 많이 길기도 하고 제 노하우를 최대한 우겨 넣다 보니까 이것저것 내용이 많아서 처음에는 조금 부담스러우실 수도 있을 것 같습니다. 에픽게임스 공식 튜토리얼들 올라오는 디벨로퍼 커뮤니티에 보시면 초보용 코스들이 분야별로 많이 있구요, 또 에픽 코리아 채널에 올라오는 류러셀님 강의도 처음 시작하기에 좋다고 들었습니다. 혹시 다른 3D 프로그램 쓰시는데 언리얼엔진도 배우시는거면 그렇게 어렵지는 않을거에요. 근데 그게 아니라 아예 쌩으로 처음 시작하시는거면 모르는 기능도 많고 개념도 많고 실수하기가 쉬워서 답답하고 짜증나는 일이 많이 있을 수도 있을 것 같습니다. 참고 꾸준히 쪼금씩 배우다보면 금방 손에 익고 익숙해지는 것들이 생기니까 그럴 때마다 마음 다잡고 진득히 배우시다보면 제가 하는 정도는 금방 따라하실거에요. 도저히 모르겠는 것들은 여기에 물어보셔도 되고, 여러가지 커뮤니티나 디코서버 같은데에 질문 올리셔도 되구요. 재미있게 배워보시길 바라겠습니다 :)

ㅋㅋ 너무 잘봤어요 정자의 모험?인가? ㅎ 그 라이브링크 목 안돌아가는건.... 버전 문제이거나 아이패드 기종 와이파이 연결 문제이거나 목에 리타깃 다시 해주거나의 문제 일거에요...(이중에 한게 수정하니 잘되었던,....) 많은 도움이 되었어요 ㅎㅎ

Have looked into creating material instances? That way you can adjust HUE of the assets all at once ?

That may be possible if they were all using the same material but I was using many different models with different materials on them. If there's a way to batch edit them that I don't know about, please feel free to show me. I would be really grateful

@@Flipside3D M_ms_default is the parent mat for the megascans so if you make a instance and make the parent the M_ms_default of the intance then you could assign this instance to multiple different megascan assets as the parent not effecting the material it self

Hi, This is great information. I have an error question. You most likely know about the GPU crashes that happen in UE5. I found some solutions to avoid this. My question is this. One of the solutions is to go back to DirectX 11 from 12. This has worked for me. However, I am concerned about quality renders if I use while rendering in Movie Render Queue. My console commands do not include using raytracing. I am still setting my fps to 60. The Unreal site has a longer and more detailed solution that I am not sure I want to try. Have you found or discovered another solution to these GPU crashes that you could share?

What's your pc setup? And what kind of project are you having trouble with? This totally is dependent on your situation. I made a video about TDR delay settings a while ago, you might wanna check it out if you haven't looked into it already. UE5 has a lot of issues atm (hoping for 5.1 soon) but it's at a relatively stable state compared to before. You shouldn't have to use DX11 if you have a decent machine and don't have a specific reason. Going DX11 means giving up a lot of features

@@Flipside3D Thanks for responding. I have a GeForce RTX 3080, Windows 11 pro, AMD Ryzen 9 5950x 16 core processor, RAM 64Gb I am not over clocking. I would agree with you that I should not be having a problem. I am working with one of the Marketplace scenes. Set my FPS to 60. And I am animating with 2 game ready characters. Not very heavy mesh.As I started to lay out the first two shots I started to get "GPU crashed or D3D device removed." I looked this up online and saw that many have had this problem. A couple of the solutions mentioned were to step back to DirectX 11 or change my FPS back to 30. Before you responded I switched my FPS back to 30 and went back to DirectX 12. While I worked on the project with that change I did not have the GPU crash. Thoughts?

@@steinmov hey sorry I only just saw your reply now, it got hidden because of the link I think. What do you mean when you say you set the fps? The sequence that you are making? Or a target framerate at runtime?

@@Flipside3D I am referring to the frame rate of the sequencer project that I am making. One of the suggestions that I found for stopping a GPU crash was to reduce the frame rate from 60 fps to 30 fps.
