You sat on this video for long time. Cool. Changed dozens and dozens of these, but never seen inside of one till now. I also recommend to change the whole water heater.

Education is always helpful in maintaining what we have. Thanks for the suggestion! This is why we started our KZbin channel to better educate RV'ers. We strongly recommend having a certified RV inspect your future RV.

Thanks. I've wondered how the heat is transferred to the water, and I can imagine what would happen if the tank wasn't filled before the propane was turned on. I wonder what the water level would be at if you didn't bleed the air out of the tank when filling it?

Darren- any idea how long since that tank's last backflush? Would be curious to see a normally-blind backflush on that and see how much comes off. Also- any way you could show your backflush wand in a little more detail? I wanted to build one at home depot but was having trouble finding all the parts. Love your videos, I have learned a lot from your channel- thank you very much I really greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for what you do! I have learned so much since purchasing a truck camper. I had a bad board last year, Atwood, worked perfectly after changing out to the Dinosaur board. I have a different problem now. Heater lights, goes to temp, draw probably 20 seconds of hot water, then cold. It will go back to hot after a while and back to cold. I watched your flushing video, did that, same problem. It is doing the same on AC and LP. Thermostat? If thermostat why would go hot and cold? It also does not relight once cold water has entered on LP. Another thermostat potential?? Is thermostat not telling it to relight? if so, why hot and cold?? When you showed this video I thought possibly I would see why hot then cold. I do not see that reason. I saw something about you do remote tech service? Would gladly do that with you!!

Great video. I have a 2000 Leprechaun and trying to figure out how I can get vinegar into the water heater ( not hot water heater) to clean the calcium off the inside. I tried the flushing method you demonstrated in one of your other video's for over an hour and still getting the same amount out. I have only owned this RV for a year so I don't have a complete history. It is a Attwood / Dometic 6 gal tank. I am assuming because of the age is the reason I can not find any documentation across the web on this procedure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again thank you for your video's.

Great Video. How hard is it to change out the heating element that would be under your sink area inside?
@MyRVWorks3 жыл бұрын
There is a tool that fits around that heating element. The challenge is the heating element nut is so skinny it's hard for that tool to stay on. Sometimes it will screw relatively easily but most of the time it's a fight. amzn.to/3gIfaay

Curious what you recommend on my water heater that does not have an anode rod. It has a plastic cap and supposedly with my model on a winnebago travel trailer It does not need one. Should I still be flushing it out once in a while? Thx

Did you say what size that water heater is and what it came out of? I know my 10gal Suburban isn't nearly that large of a tank.

What does it mean if I can smell and hear the propane gas but there is no spark or seems to be no spark? I hear a click but can’t see the spark and the gas won’t ignite?
