What is it like working in FAANG vs. small companies?

Hey Matt, awesome video once again! Quick question, do you think it’s possible for a self taught/bootcamp grad to be able to land a job at these FAANG companies given they have a solid portfolio and have taught themselves data structures and algorithms but no other engineering experience?

Hey, thanks! I wouldn't say it's impossible, I got my first interview at Amazon without having any job experience so it can definitely happen. But when applying to these big tech companies to have the best chance of success, you should aim to have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
