We can’t instantly say something is better than another without looking at the facts. There are different types and different qualities of NITs and IIITs. Every institution has its pros and cons. NITs NITs are well funded by the central govt. Offer education in almost all the areas of engineering. In some colleges, there are BSc and Integrated MSc courses. These institutes have relatively large campuses and more numbers of students. Because of central govt funding, fees in these institutes are not that much. It’s quite affordable. Due to 50% ( or more in some cases) reservations to state students, diversity is relatively less but it’s better than almost every state govt college. NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal and NIT Warangal are one of the top institutes of India better than some 2nd Gen and almost all 3rd Gen IITs. Other top 10-12 NITs are worth it. IIITs At first, there are two different kinds of IIITs- Govt funded and PPP(Public-Private Partnership). The initial letter “I” stands for “International” in three(Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Bhuvneshwar) and “Indraprastha” in Delhi and “Indian” in all others. Well, IIITs are mainly concentrated on circuital and IT branches(CS, IT, ECE etc). Another thing is that fees are relatively high in IIITs. These institutes have relatively smaller campuses and relatively smaller numbers of students. Academics is quite intensive in IIITs. Study pressure is much higher than that of NITs. There is no state quota in IIITs. So culture is more diverse. IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Bengaluru, IIIT Delhi and IIIT Allahabad are very good colleges. IIITH is one of the best institutes in India and it’s at par with top IITs in terms of placement and academics. New IIITs are also catching up the pace in all these. These new institutes will also be a top choice for tech recruiters. In conclusion, if you want core sectors jobs/research then NITs are better place for you and if you want tech jobs/research then IIITs are better place to be in. But anyway both group of institutes are very good in their own rights.

With the changing needs of the contemporary times, the M.A program was restructured that involved replacing 5 year integrated M.A. programme with 2 year M.A. programme in 3 streams (Development Studies, Economics and English Studies). Each stream will have 25 seats for Indian students. The students of each stream will have the option of upgrading to Ph.D. programme as per the Institute guidelines. The new programme has been offered from 2023. Only GATE (Entrance Exam) qualified candidates will be eligible for admission to this 2-year program.

At IIT-Bombay, admissions to BS (economics) are done through JEE (Advanced) as the students who take economics in the first year do courses along with other engineering disciplines. In case, the students do extremely well, there is a possibility of branch change too. So, if you clear JEE, simply you can discontinue the current UG course and do join the IIT. As per JEE(Main) 2021 guidelines, Only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2019, 2020 or 2021; or those who are appearing in Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2021, are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2021. It means a person can attend JEE(Main) exam three successive years ( a year when he finished class 12 and the next two years. If you are a class 12 passed out in 2021, the you'll complete your UG in 2024. JEE 2024 can be attended by 2022, 2023 and 2024. So, you cannot apply JEE.

பொதுவாக, Engineering Courses படிக்க Maths அவசியம். சரி, கேள்விக்கான தீர்வைப் பார்ப்போம். IITயில் சேர +2வில் minimum 75% marks எடுக்க வேண்டும். Mathsல் mark குறைந்தாலும் மற்ற subjectsல் கூடுதலாக marks எடுப்பதின் மூலம் இந்த இலக்கை எட்டி விடலாம். அடுத்ததாக, JEE(Main) and JEE(Advanced) exams clear செய்ய வேண்டும். அதற்கு Physics, Chemistry marks மட்டும் போதாது. Software Engineer ஆவதற்கு CSE, IT போன்ற coursesஐ B.E./B.Tech.ல் எடுத்து படிக்க வேண்டும். இந்த coursesதான் படிக்க வேண்டும் என்றில்லை, Civil போன்று வேறு எந்த courseஐ எடுத்து படித்தாலும் Software Engineer (Companies அனுமதித்தால்) ஆக முடியும். அதற்கு எந்த கல்லூரியில் வேண்டுமானாலும் சேர்ந்து படிக்கலாம். IIT, NIT, IIIT மற்றுமுள்ள இதர central Govt. collegesல் சேர வேண்டும் என்றால் மட்டும் தான் அதற்கான நுழைவுத்தேர்வை (JEE) எழுத வேண்டும்.
