What is Katmer? | Turkey Travel Vlog

We're back!!! It has been a while since we have posted a video due to some life stuff, but we still wanted to share the rest of our trip to Turkey with you. As you watch this, please keep in mind, this was filmed in August 2021 when Covid was still in full swing which is why we are wearing masking. It was required! We hope you enjoy the second part to our trip to the Syrian border town of Gaziantep Turkey. Wonderful people, incredible food, and the birthplace of Baklava!
In this video, we try the Turkish dessert, Katmer, at the most famous location (Katmerci Zekeriya Usta) that makes it. Family-owned and operated for 5 generations, and boy do you taste that delicious lineage in this sweet treat. We also head to the copper Bazar where Amanda blacks out and goes nuts on purchasing copper pans and products. We also happen upon an alleyway where we see copper craftsmen actually making beautiful products for the Bazar. It's a fun day full of adventure and delicious food. If you have ever been unsure as to if Turkey is a place you should visit, we hope this video will convince you to book a ticket and see this amazing country for yourself!

My only experience haggling is in Mexico and everything there has prices. However if something is so extremely inexpensive already I won't bother. I don't enjoy doing it and your supporting the local economy.
