We called it "breaking the posture or move the body". You can't throw a static person except he's a lil kid

How do you kuzushi from classical grip, for e.g. uchi-mata or harai ? Your right hand is a bit higher in the video. My issue with classical grip is that my right hand stays f... stuck behind all the time and I lose efficiency. Could you show kuzushi with classical grip?
@isa100kg4 жыл бұрын
The lower your hand is on the lapel, the less efficient your kuzuchi is going to be. From a classical lapel grip, focus on bringing your hand to your ear and your elbow to your partner's armpit. If your shoulders aren't very mobile, this is going to be tricky.

I mess this up all the time lol.

It's so annoying when you try to practice throws, and your partner knows you're drilling but he keeps giving 110% to stop from getting off balance. Makes it impossible to learn any techniques.
@clacicle4 жыл бұрын
Bozocow that’s probably one of the biggest obstacles to learning. But, this is where the teacher needs to clearly explain to everyone the purpose of the exercise and demonstrate exactly what they mean. And if certain students refuse to accept this, then ....well I’ve seen a number of people get hurt and then never return to class. It could have been done better, but as a student who had to deal with them it was very frustrating and annoying. We were all happy to see those students leave.

Make sure you communicate with your partner! That is always a huge frustration but you should be vocal about it.
