Wonder why this video only has like 1.4K views as you show us what the possible issue is with this flickering leds. What would happen if you used coax for the data line? Did you ever try that?
@ENTTECofficial2 жыл бұрын
Hey Luc, regarding distance from device to first pixel, people have had varied success. If you use separate wires for data and ground then a few meters can be achieved. If you use twisted pair (data/ground) you tend to be able to go slightly further (but typically this isn't practical given voltage drop. Using a shielded data cable will give you the best results. Some customers have used coax/aerial cable, which isn't good practise, but seems to work in a pinch. As with most of these scenarios, it's very much a suck it and see. There are other factors like interference from other signals or mains that could hamper your results. As a rule of thumb, the shorter the cable can be the better. At ENTTEC we recommend a couple of meters using stranded copper cable to deliver power, data and 0v.

Not all coax is created equal. What I mean is that not all coax is the same and may introduce more problems. Communication coax is 50 ohms, Television coax is 75 ohms and then there is 93 ohm coax.

Hi Enttec team :) Do you know what does it mean when you are sending data to your pixels (R 255 for example) and you get undesired rainbow?
@ENTTECofficial2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mariano, If you could confirm the LED IC you're using that'd help. We don't manufacture or sell it, but a couple of years back there was a brand of LED IC that when it stopped receiving data, but still had power it defaulted to a rainbow 'test pattern' (from memory it was TM1803 made by Titan Microelectronics). In later revisions of the chip they removed this function as understandably, a number of people found it irritating. - We'd recommend you check your data connection from the controller, or from the pixel before the rainbow pattern starts.

@@ENTTECofficial thanks for the reply. The IC is generic ws2812b. I’m daisy chain 10x 32 pixels bars and I get rainbow pattern after the eighth bar. The data is sent from madmapper.

I use pixel bars and the artnet controller is near the laptop at the console how do I do the wiring

Hi, We recommend our pixel controllers be within 3m of the start of your pixels and here is a link to more videos in this playlist which should be helpful kzbin.info/aero/PLoT-Evsl5qFkfMdZMrJjnkOcY6C9D41OK. I always thought I was crazy but I can literally see my pixels on my led and oles flickering which is insane dude ro how fast it happens if I'm close u can literally see it haha I can see the slight flashing on the tv also idk how I can many people can't it makes no sense lol

The eyes are a powerful thing! Some of us are more sensitive to refresh rate than others, to even see your TV flickering makes it sound like your eyes are super human!

How do I program these LEDs to vary color using an arduino uno??
@ENTTECofficial2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mateus, our strips use the SK6812 or WS2815 protocols for control. - There are some great opensource libraries out there for you to tinker with on an Arduino. The FastLed library is a good place to get started. If you're after a fully turn key solution to control LED pixel strips be sure to drop a message sales@enttec.com and we'll be able to help you out :)

If i need only stable white what i do
@ENTTECofficial Жыл бұрын
If your project only ever needs stable white we recommend constant voltage strip as it is cheaper and easy to use. In terms of what you need to do, what do you mean? Are you wondering how to get your lights to show only white? For that you send white data from your software or device into your lights. Or are you wondering how to stop flickering with stable white light? If that's the case it's the same as coloured data, it is still data running through the strips. If you want more help with your installation please contact technical support www.enttec.com/contact-us/

From what I understand, some controllers have a phase shifter Built-in which will compensate for longer data runs.
@ENTTECofficial2 жыл бұрын
Hi John, this is possible but not always a robust solution. Another option is to reduce the universe quantity being sent (and in doing so increase the timing between packets to reduce the chance of data scrambling over longer distances). We've got some plans to do something with this next year :)
