I’ve never understood leverage. Why do people say you’re ‘’borrowing’’ 10k? You’re not, are you? You’re just multiplying your loss by 10x. For instance, a 10x leverage means you lose 100% if the market moves 10% in the wrong direction. Borrowing 10k implies you owe the exchange 9k if you lose the trade I.e you’re in debt. You don’t owe anything

With margin you are borrowing

It's borrowing to the level of your deposit in the account They take interest overnight for you holding the position.
