Thank you for your efforts, really appreciate it! One topic I'd actually be quite interested in - though it may be too personal - is how you got into it all. What formal qualifications did you need? Did you start out with all that expensive equipment, including the LiDAR, or with a simpler drone and then gradually worked your way up as you started making money? Would be interesting to hear what you consider the "minimum starting position", both in terms of equipment and qualifications. Thanks!
@IndianaDrones4 жыл бұрын
Not too personal at all. I think that will go into the list of videos to make! One thing that I believe in whole heartedly, is persistence. Just stick with it and keep on moving forward day by day. Even on these videos, I am making mistakes and people will call me out. Its important to take everything in and improve. Fail Early, Fail Fast, Fail Often... And Learn faster than anyone else!

As others have mentioned in your videos, this is really really great information that I can't find anywhere else. Keep it up! One question/request I would have is to know your drone fleet and software setup. For example I am very curious about the laptop you use, is it a System 70 type machine? Either way, I'm looking forward to the content you continue to create!

Hey Mo! It is a system 76! But it is a bit overkill. We needed this laptop for a deep learning A.I. project I was leading. One of the teammates really wanted to deploy all the models in real time. But now we figured out how to do this using a little computer the size of a credit card

Great video.. I have been dabbling with drones and the related technology for LIDAR, SONAR, autonomous flight etc for fixed wing and hex/quad copters for a while now simply because I find the technology fascinating BUT that has led me to realize there is so much potential in this space and that will only continue to grow as time goes on. Vey well explained video. We work on Government projects in India related to urban planning and topographical survey is usually a start point at it. I was always skeptical about drone survey as they may not be cover the physical attributes like ravines, temples, temporary shed, etc below the tree canopies. Hence we are used to combining the Drone survey with Total station survey. But as you said LIDAR is able to offset the problem of tree canopy by mapping the physical attributes below it, makes it really interesting. Can you mention what would be the comparative cost of performing a Total Station vs. LIDAR vs. Aerial +Total station, some hint like is it three time or fours times of Total station ?
