It can also come from biomasses as biogas which technically doesn't pollute since it uses carbon that was already part of the carbon cycle

Methane is a much worse greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide, and it is very prone to spelling out in the atmosphere. It has more cons than what common sense would suggest. Another fossil fuel we will have to move away from eventually.
