By some incredible fluke, the year this came out, this video indeed was the highest rated video on this entire website of all time for about a day, and was at #2 for about a week. I got a few confused comments that week along the lines of, "Why is this the top rated video on KZbin?" And then it fell off the ratings. Back then, KZbin used a 5-star rating system. My running theory has always been that since this video had gone moderately viral, but not viral enough for critics to have found it, it had had zero or nearly zero ratings below 5 stars. Meaning the video's average rating was a perfect 5.0/5.0, making it top rated by default after passing whatever minimum view or rating count a video had to have. This video certainly wasn't the most viewed or most popular, just highest rated on some short-lived math fluke that amused me. A screenshot of the rank might be on an ancient hard drive of mine, but I'm not sure.

@@axelrod777 thanks for responding! I think the first time I saw this video, I was still in elementary school. i knew i remembered seeing that it was "#1 Top Rated All Time." I remember the old 5 star rating system, but I didn't know about the view threshold or the fact that it wasn't even most viewed at the time. If it means anything to you, I came back to this video specifically because I remembered that it had that accolade. this video was/is a part of my early youtube history that I really appreciate since it led me down the path of making music myself (first in mario paint, then in an actual DAW)
