It seems like the only people who would use Mario paint composer for something original are challenging themselves or casually dipping their toes into music Or they were too cheap and lazy to find anything better like me hh lol
@EnderBlitz5 жыл бұрын
i actually used Mario Paint Composer as a starting point for composing original music! the limitations imposed by the program encourage finding creative workarounds, and offer a good starting point for people w/basically no knowledge of musical theory or composing. for me, as a little kid interested in making something musical, it was a formative experience. in my teen years i started using the more 'advanced' version of the program called 'Advanced Mario Sequencer', and began composing more elaborate musical pieces and toying around with things such as soundfonts; and around last year, after a longer break from proper composing, i started using FL Studio, which caused the quality and speed of my music production to increase basically tenfold lmao personally, i'm never coming back to either of the Mario Composer programs, but i do look fondly on the times when these programs were my main tool of production. in my experience, the main reason the MPC covers of various songs get more attention than original pieces are because 1) the covers are already well-known songs, 2) they're usually much more expertly crafted than most original compositions on the program, and 3) although there are highly-skilled original composers in the the MPC community (which has been in deep decline for a long while now), their numbers are few and their kind of work is very niche, as most prefer far less limiting and more versatile programs.
@RemixerDarken5 жыл бұрын
Köokaburra the Kingfisher I will agree that MPC's limitations do make for some interesting music puzzles. I've actually made my first original Mario Paint Composer arrangement last month. And I would like to see more original MPC arrangements from time to time.

The dual shy guys were off beat by one bar when you were on the perfectionist part. If you move them left one it will sound perfectly synchronized
@Shadycicada5 жыл бұрын
I couldn't put them there because the program can only hold so many notes on one beat. When I'm playing the shy guys and singing/sounding them out, you can actually hear me muting the first beat and singing on the second :') intentional sacrifice
@HoundXXII5 жыл бұрын
@@Shadycicada you know what man, I thought of that after I posted the comment. You think there's a chance someone made a modified version of this program with less restrictions? I'd love to see your full potential on this restrictive platform.

This is some Undertale-ish music, it's so well made, loved it, might even save it for my music playlist

Can we convince you to make some retro SNES- or Genesis/Megadrive-style music with a soundbank? Your whole music style feels like it calls back to the golden days of game music already xD

its like an anime theme that plays when you think the main character is defeated but he gets flashbacks and stands up and beats the enemy using the power of friendship
@florb04134 жыл бұрын
Yes except the protagonist is Mario and he’s standing back up in memory of Luigi

This. This is the best opening theme EVER. If I had an anime, or something, this would be the opening theme. I'm not even joking It sounds so awesomw

As a fellow musician, this is great on-the-fly music production. The intuitive direction to the whole project makes it that much more artistic as well Great job man

That sounded like the theme for a show I would MOST DEFINITELY watch

5am, right after a travel, under the pressure of not wanting to fall into the youtube realm of darkness, using *mario paint*, not knowing any music theory, and you created such a beautiful piece. Aaaand your humor is pure gold Such human being had been thought impossible for ages, yet you exist I'm thankful

For having no knowledge of music theory and having made this in one night in MARIO PAINT, that’s really good.

honestly i feel like knowing less about music theory has helped him a lot. it forces you to focus on what sounds good and less on what should sound good
