What is Lumen method?

Signify the world leader in lighting, launched its new company name on May 16th 2018 , following the amendment of the company’s articles of association changing its name from Philips Lighting N.V. to Signify N.V.
This video was created before the new company name was launched and therefore still using the Philips brand.

I'm studying for my P.E. exam and stumbled across this awesome video, thanks Signify. I just want to reiterate that the Lumen Method is only useful for indoor calculations. Light calculations for an Outdoor environment is a whole different ball game.

Wow, in the late 80's early 90's I did this by hand using CU, RCR, Area, etc.. Now it's all done on my iphone with an app.

In the end you just didnt show in practical how will be considering loss factor and depreciation ... I ended up with doubt aboit to know how many leds or lamps I will need for such area

Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. Each lamp in the example has 2600 lumen output but there are two lamps in each fitting so the lumen output is multiplied by 2. Thanks!

Cap. For one, lumen method is about lighting. Secondly no code in the item shop is gonna do anything. Third, even if the code was real, it would have to be on epic games site and not the item shop. Smh

very good. . . apart from using 'feet' as a measurement. No one in science and engineering uses 'feet' as a unit of measurement. The entire world uses SI units. EVERYONE. So these results are a waste of time
