If you think about it though, his basic movement is very slow, and he relies about 85% on his cooldowns. Meanwhile, Genji is able to double jump and climb walls(no cd), tracer is smaller and harder to spot, as well as faster CDs. Also, Sombra is just a very flanky character, being able to be invisible and teleport out of trouble. Doomfist, compared to these, has quite a large hitbox, and is pretty bulky(how ever, if you play him just right, he possibly could be a flanker, though I think it's not worth it that much...) (Also I like playing devil's advocate so please don't feel offended 👍)

If making space only means holding shield and waking forward, what is the difference between top500 rein and all other ranks tanks? The way how u avoid damage and give enemies pressure determine how much space u can make for teammates. If u just walk, u definitely make space due to good luck and feed due to bad luck

I feel like Moira could have been included in the spam category. Moira isn’t being played much at higher levels because of her lack of utility but something she doesn’t get enough credit for is her ability to constantly pressure damage on the enemy team. With her infinite ammo primary fire and piercing orbs, not to mention her ultimate. Moira can create a lot of space for her team.

I am a high level competitive tf2 player, and I know a LOT about team oriented class based shooters. OW is a bit different than TF2, but also very similar. I placed gold and plat my first season of comp in S19, but it drives me absolutely NUTS that people don't know that one of the tanks main jobs is create space, or what flanking is, or how to move around when they give us space. The example he uses for rein is completely wrong in this video. Character like rein, orisa, and mei are good and whats described by Jayne at holding space. While they can take and make space too, rein and orisa are good for holding space in one horizontal direction and mei can use her wall to cover for them. You can also prevent the enemy from taking space in ways described in this video, such as junkrat spam and just covering an area with a widowmaker. The more risk involved with taking a certain path, the less likely a team is going to go through that path. Watch Jayne's video reacting to this, he talks about space in a lot more detail.

Damage boost your Reinhardt. He doesn't need to get kills, but the sight of a damage boosted German running at your team is frightening. Or damage boost your hit scans so they can get picks. Picks are the best way to make space after all.

Damage boosting hero's like Bastion, Pharah etc so the enemy team puts extra resources into you 2 or they are forced to move to a different location. A junkrat spamming is extra scary when he's damageboosted. You can also create TONS of space by using your Valkyrie efficiently. When using it the enemy team will react accordingly, but damageboosting, rezzing teammates, and whipping out the pistol against stationary targets like Widow are all good spacemaking tactics. (And can deliver a kill)
