One thing to note about abilities, CC's would also contribute to BHE. When you're hard CC'd you are not dealing damage; in other words that CC provided the character with damage immunity for N seconds. Ana's sleep is a big example as 5 seconds of invulnerability every 28 seconds assuming a 50% accuracy would jump her up a few tiers. Could probably apply the average accuracy stats from Overbuff to calculate this without testing. Hog hook, Orisa javelin (take with or without wall slam?), Doom punch (charged or not?)... Etc Also, I just realized : since you're counting a primaling Winston aping you around, what about a Roadhog with whole hog booping you around? Not to mention his hitbox shifts slightly during ult (harder to hit headshots if I'm correct) Great video on such an underexplored topic. Really enjoyed it.

this is why I love overwatch and have never gotten bored of it since I started playing in 2018. the different variables for each hero, the almost infinite number of unique gameplay interactions and outcomes, and people like this who spend so much time calculating and studying this sort of thing just out of a love and interest in the game and how it works. overwatch is far from a perfect game, balance is always weird and off and it's incredibly frustrating at times but also incredibly rewarding at times too. I really appreciate the work and dedication that goes into this sort of video. absolutely amazing !!
@notstampgoatКүн бұрын
Sure, much of the information is in a literal sense minimally applicable but, the information itself is still quite valuable. Knowing the optimal, even if unreasonable, allows you to be more optimal by making you more reasonable. (Holy shit banger quote) What I mean by this is that if you know where best to shot any character in an ideal scenario, you don't just learn that specific information but learn how to temper your circumstances closest to the ideal, (since even junkrat will benefit by allowing you to aim where most generous). This still also applies with knowing the absolute peak of a characters survivability. With that info, based on how much dps you're taking on what character, you can make more informed decisions on when you may die and how to survive since you know where your maximum time alive. Also goes offensively too, since you know the absolute minimum amount of time it would take to kill a character no matter your dps.

Been saying this for a while - Kiriko needs the Widowmaker treatment. Give her less health since her hitbox is significantly smaller than then rest of the cast. Her having her disgustingly broken abilities is kinda ok actually if it means she's made out of glass.
@aeni134 ай бұрын
She would still be broken in good hands. It would just cover the wound. Making a character harder to play or clunky is one of the laziest way to try to solve a balance issue. Widow can still be oppressive, she's just easier to stoomp with counterswap and even "harder" to learn.
@KlebinDaBoca4 ай бұрын
@@aeni13 then give Tracer 250hp and see if it's just covering the wound or an actual valid design decision. That being said, I'd prefer for suzu being less of an intrusive ability and acting as cleansing without phasing.

As a life long torb connoisseur Ty... for shedding light to the plight of Torb players, its honestly why its hard playing torb in higher level play when hitscan ranged dps are meta... which is often.
@astupidlylongnamethatstoolong4 ай бұрын
If needed, you go for longer ad strafes and dont bother crouching. Crouching as torb can actually be worse as the only character with any recoil is literally just soldier and it only goes upwards. So just randomize your AD but long enough and preferably be near a wall instead.
@willie1genesis7144 ай бұрын
@@astupidlylongnamethatstoolong Oh I agree with ya on the wall hugging strat. Its just soo much harder to get value now since the season 9 changes. ad strafing as you shotgun close ranged with the movement speed buff use to work but when the ease of head shotting and body shotting increased/ as well as not having armor but over health it really made it harder to do that strat vs competent players.
