I have BXO (Balanitis xerotica obliterans, now often referred to as Lichen Sclerosis in men) diagnosed about 20 years ago. It has been well controlled with betnovate/dermovate and clobetasol/neomycin, but since I have been diagnosed and treated for prostate cancer the scarring has gotten worse but my foreskin is still reasonably flexible and retractable. When I was originally diagnosed the consultant said to be mindful that it is/was a pre-cancerous condition. I do get quite a bit of pruritis but again manageable. I'm now in my 70s and sexually active and I really don’t fancy a circumcision at my age, so I’m doing all I can to stave off any other ill effects. Again, I want to thank you for your insight into these conditions, which many doctors don’t want to discuss. I applaud you for your exceptional channel and recent videos in particular.

I wonder how much sensation I'm missing, having been circumcised shortly after birth. Guess I'll never really know.

You can test this btw. Just a heads up. I can tell you from experience you are missing a noticeable amount of sensation, as am I.

No loss of sensation if it was done correctly. People commenting here are trying to make you feel bad about circumcision. If anything you gain more sensitivity after the gland being exposed. If you don’t believe me check other circumcision videos and comments. How do these guys know the level of sensitivity you or other circumcised people have compared them. There is no machine to measure the sensitivity level from one person to another and also we are all different i.e your pain threshold, your reaction to excitement, how ticklish we are compared to another person, our brother and sister, our mum and dad. This is how our sensitivity level down there are different and climax timings are different whether you are a male or female. Love your life and enjoy.

I think the circumcision of a minor child should be illegal unless absolutely medically necessary after all other less invasive options have failed. He should be able to make the choice for himself when he is an adult.

What are your thoughts on preputioplasty instead of circumcision for phimosis? Do doctors nowadays recommend it instead of circumcision?

Does phimosis only apply to flaccid penis? Would frenuloplasty or circumcision be necessary for phimosis only when erect?

When circumcision is done by a surgeon in a hospital, rather than by a Rabi... do they still carry out METZITZA B'peh which is the direct mouth contact by the Rabi to draw blood from the newly circumcised penis?

The answer is no. Since when do surgeons put their mouths on their patients during surgery? A hospital procedure isn't a religious practice.

Circumcision reduces the risk of urinary tract infections, penile cancer, sexual transmission diseases, and other infections and diseases. And it completely removes the risk of phimosis (tight foreskin problems). My mother knew a man who wasn't circumcised, and he got penile cancer and died as a result. My sister-in-law works as a nurse, and she often has to deal with old men who aren't circumcised, and they have urinating problems as a result. A lot of times, the old men can't urinate as a result. My older sister also works at a hospital, and she told me a mother take her son in who had a severe urinary tract infection because he wasn't circumcised.

Circumcision does not negatively affect sexual function, sensitivity, or pleasure. In fact, some studies have found that circumcision can have benefits for sexual function, sensation, and satisfaction. Most men who got circumcised as adults said sex felt better afterward.

I disagree. Done at the right time, for the right reasons and taken care of in the right way, it will probably look just as healthy. The calloused, wrinkled ones I've seen don't look better to me.
