I am a young man at College, not married yet, but having waited a long time to establish a relationship I have found a woman who I am committing to more and more with the intention of marriage. Watching these videos has helped me align my mentality about my relationship with God's expectations, whether that be with sex, emotional maturity, spiritual growth, or a dozen other areas. covenant marriage, that's a very appealing idea. The problem with that is I can identify in my case in particular, I'm locked in for better or for worse my spouse knows that and exploits that. They can be a complete jerk and you're stuck with me for better or for worse. There is no incentive to live up to the expectations you have outlined here. As a matter of fact 2 most men there is no fun in that.

There is no authority given in the Bible for any marriage license or marriage ceremony by the clergy. Marriage license and ceremony performed by the clergy is a function of the state and not the church. A so-called church that performs licensed marriage ceremonies is a fake church and an agency of the state to entrap men in family court and destroy the family. Today and for the past 100 years a marriage license is required by the church and the state to marry. A license is: License Definition: A special permission to do something on, or with, somebody else's property which, were it not for the license, could be legally prevented or give rise to legal action in tort or trespass. A marriage license makes it legal to abrogate Common Law coverture marriage by statutes. All states except for Louisiana are Common Law states. The Common Law is the law unless abrogated by statute. All statutes abrogate the Common Law. The Common Law is based upon Biblical Law so when a church requires a marriage license it is abrogating God's Laws on marriage. The church has no authority in the Bible to marry anyone by ceremony or license. All that authority comes from the state by statute. So the minister/priest is an officer of the state solemnizing a marriage that is against the laws of God,

It's a piece of paper that states when the other person dies you obtain everything they have, including debt. A relationship can be strong and healthy without a piece of paper. Society places too much stigma on how a couple should behave if they've been "committed" for a lengthy period of time. People need to learn their place and stay in their lanes. Nowhere in the Bible does it speak of holy matrimony. Peter and Jesus spoke on that several times. Man and woman come together and become one. Nothing about festivities or legality.

YrretsJ You have a great question! Sorry I’m late to the discussion. A lot of things not discussed already in this comment thread is certain Bible references homosexuality as a sin, an “abomination” even. This topic though is debated in the Christian church as a grey area. Rightly so. Some people say homosexuality in the Bible is in fact referencing the raping of young male prostitutes, the Bible however frowns on this in the old testament when it references sodomy as a sin. The Bible says over and over again though, that God hates the sin but loves the sinner. There are unfortunately people that can’t separate the two. My personal views and ones that I’ve debated other people with, and ones that I can’t find any biblical references against, is that God genuinely loves gay people, just like he loves straight people. And I personally know gay people that love God! Gay practicing people are living in sin though just as people having sex before marriage are. I think the part a lot of straight Christians miss though is the idea of celibacy and/or never finding love is terrifying and rightly so! In Corinthians though God says he won’t put is through anything we can’t handle. I’m not speaking for every Christian and if you got to the end of this I hope it all made sense. There are plenty of great videos on it though on KZbin if you take your sources by the Bible and not the people themselves( stay away from the angry ones) Anyways I hope this helps you!
