The last part was absolutely uncalled for. Steve himself *_chose_* Sam to be the next Captain America. Specifically said "You're a good man Sam." And "That's why it's yours." He made a well thought out decision to hand over his entire legacy to Sam because he trusted him completely. Trusted Sam to do the right thing: help and protect people. Chris Evans himself tweeted "Anthony Mackie IS Captain America." There is no dispute when both the character and the actor say it. It's canon in the MCU and it's canon in our world that Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Dwayne Mackie, will be the next Captain America. Is he ever going to be another Steve Rogers? Obviously not. He's Sam. He shouldn't have to be Steve Rogers. He is a good man, with a kind heart and a strong moral compass. He has never done anything to be in people's bad books. Do I miss Steve? Hell to the fuck yeah I do. He's the love of my life. If I had it my way he'd be on the big screen forever somehow. But am I going to throw shade on a hard working, genuine man, that Steve picked out to give the shield to? Hell to the fuck no. Sam completely deserves it. And while you may personally not like him (which I won't say anything against) you do not get to generalise by saying "we hate him". Hate is a very strong emotion that Sam/Mackie did nothing to deserve. Most of us do not hate him. And if you don't like that, too bad for ya buddy. Better suck it up, or quit watching Marvel. Never be so obsessed over one character that you bring others down. That's toxic behaviour.
