What is Microsoft XDR?

Hey! This slide deck and the explanation is great. Microsoft has been changing their naming convention time to time. Great to see a simple and straightforward explanation. Apart from that, Microsoft XDR approach is something potential clients struggle to understand, this was accurate and easy, even myself being a MS Sec Engineer , Ive strengthen my understanding on the difference and how they integrate together to form a unified solution. How does the XDR apply for hybrid deployments where the infrastructure is a mixture of on-prem and Azure/M365? What are the limitations of XDR on-prem?

Xdr is concept on which multiple solution are defined, all you have to do is make sure multiple security solutins are interoperable. In case of microsoft xdr, m365 defender helps in extended threat detection across identity endpoint data and applications.
