You did an excellent job of cutting through the FUD. The new “investors” in MSTR get angry if the stock trades down or underperforms Bitcoin for a day or a week. Actually MSTR is still up about 22% YTD, while BTC is up 12.5%. So even after all the FUD we are still on pace for another great year. A 1.82 NAV premium is the cheapest price MSTR had traded at since Bitcoin has gone over 100k. This is not investment advice but personally I’m still adding shares every time the NAV premium drops below 1.90.

Hilarious. The new FASB fair value accounting means MSTR may well post staggeringly large earnings. FASB FV is nothing but bullish for Bitcoin. When MSTR was losing money because of FASB indefinite intangible accounting rules WSJ was panning it because it's losing money. But then when MSTR will post massive earnings because of new accounting rules WSJ says uh oh, taxes. WSJ refused to run the Madoff story. WSJ is the financial version of the NYT, a joke.

@luffebassen4 күн бұрын
Since he started ATM he has added waaay over 100k MORE BTC to the shares. How is creating long term shareholder value hurting shareholders? 🤡
@mbailey123414 күн бұрын
@ three things… if the share PRICE drops when BTC is steady or higher, how is that beneficial? I don’t like the idea of one person ever controlling more than 1% of BTC. With his new 10 billion share idea that got passed, the convertible bond holders are safe but he can sell or atm as many shares as he needs to raise enough money to pay back the bond. (Severe dilution) That doesn’t necessarily mean he will buy any BTC w the said funds in that scenario. The day will come when the bear market returns and he may have to do that. That will be a bad day to be holding mstr. I’ve made a bunch on mstr and luckily rolled it into ibit when it was at $505. Shorting in the money calls against the ibit position has worked really well. The nav premium got up to 3.5. If Saylor was the only game in town it would be different, but he’s not. Be careful. Mstr is extremely high risk at this point. Come back and visit this in a year. Guess time will tell👍
@jdpgi2293 күн бұрын
Unlike converts, atms are a wash. You don't get more Btc. The btc they buy is owned by the poeple who bought those shares at the market price of which is around 2x premium. To think you added btc per share is delusional. Maybe those who bought at low premium can say they benefit. But the premium will deflate closer to nav over time, especially as btc more mature and larger with diminishing returns. So don't expect the markt /investors to continue paying 2x, so that ealrier investors make free money, under the fabricated narrative of btc yield. In fact I would prefer plain vanilla bonds that's real leverage, that's accretive. And converts since you delay the actual selling shares and we can at least pretend your adding btc to balance sheet for free for existing investors. 😊
@mbailey123413 күн бұрын
@@jdpgi229 well said. I worry about all the people that are buying into this that really don’t understand how the premium will drop over time. In a way, it reminds me of the cycle GBTC went through a couple years ago. FOMO in the market always makes people irrational.

Will there be a non accretive dilution of $1.05b in the coming two weeks? That's something none of the KZbinrs are talking about. I see massive downside coming up for mstr price due to the massive dilution regardless of what bitcoin does
@luffebassen4 күн бұрын
The BTC per share goes up over time over and over is what I meant.
@cameronlockard59353 күн бұрын
Yes... but it's even worse than that: The $1.05b in bonds that will convert over the next couple of weeks will do so at only about $140 per share. With the current MSTR price at about $350 per share, this is equivalent to a non accretive dilution of about $2.5b... Plus, I assure you that most of these institutional investors aren't really interested in the underlying asset. Expect them not to hesitate to cash in their big gains - thus, applying even more sell pressure on MSTR. KZbinrs may not be talking about it; but, savvy investors who also see it coming may explain why MSTR still hovers around 20% down from its ATH while BTC continues to flirt with breaking (and recently did) its ATH.

In the Inflation reduction bill, there is a proposal for large corporation to pay tax on unrealized bitcoin appreciation. For MSTR this is 18 billion $$. They potentially owe taxes on this amount. So according to some analysts that is the reason MSTR needs the cash.
