You want to make sure that the distributions occur when you reach the appropriate age minimum so that you're not penalized. And then it's just a matter of budgeting as best as you can to ensure that you have enough for the later years. In the example you showed of selling puts on sofi you mentioned needing to have the $1200 on hand to sell as a cash secured put. Does the brokerage firm require you to have that cash in account ? So a leap is over a year away?
