@djtheg68194 жыл бұрын
Just a tip. Your math on the minimum wage is a little off. The industry uses "2080" hours as the total hours worked for a a year during a regular 8 hour work day. This is used because there are months with more than 30 days in it. $7.25 x 2080= $15,080
@a.cummings1433 жыл бұрын
His math is spot on. Average full time hours for a month are calculated 160hrs/mo (40hrs/wk). 160hrs x 12 mo= 1920hrs worked a year.... multiply min wage $7.25 x 1920= $13,920
@djtheg68193 жыл бұрын
@@a.cummings143 It's not. I always used to do the math like you laid out but the yearly hours worked/paid is actually 2080 hours. It can be a little less or a little more than 2080 depending on how many holidays you are paid for since most holidays fall on a weekend and then you get the Monday off or you work the holiday and get paid for it at the same time.
@a.cummings1433 жыл бұрын
@@djtheg6819 if you apply for a loan, line of credit, or even public benefits your income is calculated based on a standard of 4 work week with 40hr/wk period per month. This is to set everyone on the same scale of eligibility if you have a job without paid holidays, are self employed, or work under the table.
@FadeHook233 жыл бұрын
@@a.cummings143 your calculation assuming 160 work hours a month is only true if all months are 28 days in length, hence why your math is off.

@wkx lacnation taxes lol a lot of people look up the military pay and they assume that’s what they’re getting but reality it’s not. Example e1 with less than 4 months is making $1650 but after taxes depending where your from (state) comes to $1424 a month bi weekly is $657 a paycheck. I’m from California

@@championboy8992 I thought the marines were the ones who ranked up the fastest compared to the other branches. Army is definitely second?

@@quentin_1893 It’s also the mindset that’ll help him get through it. Embracing the suck is something very few are willing to do. I’m a PFC and I get paid less than someone working for minimum wage at McDonald’s. It was never about the money. It’s about the love for your country and the will to defend it against anything

@@openingshift7070 again, that’s what everyone says trust me. You’re gonna think to yourself, “Why tf am I here?” I’d bet money. I’ve already many buddies and myself say the same thing. Everyone wants a war story lol you’ve also been in less than a year. It’ll hit ya eventually
