The value of raising kids on a farm/homestead cannot be understated!!! Gets kids off their electronics AND (more importantly!) it teaches them work ethic!!! Way more valuable in the work world than traditional education!! Thanks for a great video!!!

Wow I've never heard of homesteading until today!

Wow, well it’s basically farming, but we get so many people in recent times (since Covid mostly) calling asking about Kentucky because they want to get away from city life and heavy taxation & political tension to buy lots of land and pursue the quiet, homesteading lifestyle. It’s doable here, but a lot of people think they want 100 acres and it’s just not very practical. And the good acreage isn’t cheap. If it’s cheap, there’s a reason it’s cheap. Most of what they want to do can be done on much smaller tracts of land. It’s an interesting modern day phenomenon to see though. People wanting to get back to the roots of simple living I suppose. But buying hundreds of acres isn’t as simple as they think.

Talked with your wife last week and she was sooooo helpful! When we are ready we will be contacting you as we settle our lives here in Minnesota! We hope to have a big garden, raise chickens, have acreage for hunting and recreational fun for our loved ones! Can’t wait! It’s a big dream but worth the wait!

Hi, thanks, we’re good! Not sure which storms you mean, but we’re so used to them, we just carry on about our day. Lol Did it rain? It did get windy today but I guess we were too busy to notice. Thanks so much for your concern & for watching!

I’m confused. I grew up saying “Apple” “lay” “shah” and then got corrected by a friend that it’s “Apple” “latch” “ha”. I just heard you say the shah version. Don’t want to sound like an idiot when I get there. What’s correct?

@@Tinkerbella298 lol probably better to have another viewer answer. I’m sure I say it wrong too. It’s not really a word that will come up in conversation as much as “Louisville” will lol
