Hi sir from here in the Uk , I think I would describe you as an eccentric which is not meant in a derogatory way far from it . I don’t think anyone on KZbin is a comparison to your good self . The guided tour was indeed enlightening , with the mix of speakers ranging from the good the bad and definitely the indifferent . As to how much you fund this your self is a question that one or two have thrown into the mix . But I suspect a good deal of it is funded by you , which brings in the obvious truth that you genuinely are concerned for the person who has little in the way of resources . So from me my total admiration for your quest . Best wishes and kind and kind regards to you and your family 😀👍👍👍

I will show this to my better 3/4 to demonstrate that my hoarding of various equipment and media (8 tracks are coming back) could be worse. Or better. It's all perspective. There's some joy and satisfaction in being surrounded by one's interests. Synapses fire, connections are made. There is harmony is the noise of life. I enjoy seeing that when a guy has the desire to communicate and help others, you can make it happen. You don't have to wait until this or that happens, or life is perfect or free of distractions (e.g. rugrats). You are an inspiration. This is why the channel has grown. Those are far-from-perfect rooms which represents the average home, including mine. The beauty is the absence of perfection in this video. No “treatments”. @@Jason787 Not too many have a proper room. Even with a proper room, the opinion is still going to be subjective because people listen differently and have different sound preferences and music tastes. There is no perfect or near perfect scenario that will suit everyone’s listening perceptions when that source is a KZbin Channel. It’s not possible. A viewer of such channels should be easily aware of that. The growth of this channel is very indicative that Randy hits far more than he ever misses. Though in my opinion, he hasn’t really missed, resulting in the fast growth of his channel, which has been very impressive. I think the majority of his viewers know that it’s their own ears, within their own environment, that will be the deciding factor regarding if a piece of kit is good or not. Thank goodness for 30-day return policies…😜

i found the sound base to be powerful but thin, by the time it had any sort of low end the top end was over-bearing.. much prefer the sound of both my onkyo nr696 and pioneer lx104, and the "control" app was pathetic returned with-in the trial period, tone control/eq would have been nice and some sort of actual control

@@robc7812 My main complaint is the volume dial. I don’t know how it works, but it doesn’t feel like there’s a potentiometer in there. It feels artificial, almost like volume presets or something. Also, it really needs two sub outs instead of just one. Using a y cable to get two subs seems inelegant. Other than that , I really like the sound. It sounds amazing with the Prime bookshelf, which I guess isn’t surprising. It also sounded great with the Emotiva Airmotiv B1+. Then again, I’m still new to the hobby, but I think I’ve learned that I prefer analytical and detailed to thick and warm.

No ... nowadays I deal with them not fully moving out, ie.. their cars still in our driveway, their boxes still stacked to the ceiling in multiple rooms, their rooms still in a holding pattern... I used to have big speakers back when I started out and moved to smaller ADS, B&W, Yamaha, Klipsch and several others, each has its place and unique sound. I found the clarity was better and with quality components and computer designs they still had good bass. Of course subwoofers do help if you want to go even lower. I did get some Sony SSCS5 speakers for my daughter and am quite impressed for the price.

not many of us can claim we have a horse in our listening room - very cool - excellent drum kit too (I really like Ludwig drums) - - thanks for the tour, I really enjoyed all of it

Fantastic! Do you get the chance to sit down and just enjoy the music rather than worrying about your equipment and getting up to change something??

I thought my house was a mess with multiple speakers in each room, but you got me beat hands down. I've got all but one pair set up for listening in each room. For two channel stereo, I rotate my extra set of speakers with other sets whenever I get bored with the ones I have hooked up. I go into different rooms during the day to get a different music experience. I'm retired if you haven't guessed and do a lot of reading while listening to music. I wonder what my sons will do with all this hifi gear after I'm gone. They are not into this stuff and think the Powerbeats are great earbuds. They can't be bothered with stuff they have to lug around. Can't worry about that. I'm having too much fun listening to my music systems.

This is the video I’ve been waiting for all of my life! 😃 (Well, at least since I discovered Cheap Audio man. Haha!) I agree, regular folks looking for affordable speakers don’t have pristine environments - glad to see you’re reviewing them in the expected setup! 👍🏼

This vid was awesome IMO Randy, I dig the "behind the scenes" content. Very cool sir.

Thanks for the tour! I don't have any ideal listening areas anywhere in my house either, they're just not built with audio enthusiasts in mind. Just got to learn to make the best of what we have. Also, our house is a perpetual mess too, I have no idea how some people manage to keep theirs spotless.

Just got the same Realistic eq.. to pair with my Realistic receiver Ive had since late 80’s… I threw the eq out years ago during a move and had to replace it.. also picked up some NIB Minimus speakers to complete the system ! Love your reviews. Love the gear.
