Just as a suggestion and challenge to Ivan: There are only three DAG coins today: IOTA, ByteBall and RaiBlocks, all miner-free and near-instantaneous. It would be great if you can do a video on these as a group.

People already know SPAMiota is the best marketed and the worst programmed full of bugs and wallets with massive blackholes in them, Byteball and DAG are the worst marketed and well programmed bullet proof wallets. RAIblocks is really not DAG but Hashgraph with DAG principles from what I understood or misunderstood in this vid. BYTEBALL has approved nodes that become slaves nodes like a superhighway while RAIblocks uses the slave nodes but in a multi parallel processing layout with more than one node in line with others as in Hashgraph then trims the unused ones to clean up and reduce the network size and complexity. Now if only RAIblocks was available in a big exchange it would jump into the top 5.

a coin that isn't minable? what is the point of that? what a failure plan for a crypto. just a pump & dump worthless coin.
@barendts6 жыл бұрын
Maybe you should look at it in the perspective of web 3.0 . Just imagine you don't really need a firewall anymore to have your data exchange safe, and something like a man in the middle attack as something from the past. After all, there's a verification by at least 2 other nodes to vouch for your data. This goes past financial transactions, it has more to offer. Maybe you should try to compare it with techniques from the past, like with SMS on your phone. It was originally designed to send short instructions, i.e. to set rules on a router. The fortunate side effect of SMS was that you can wish someone else goodnight through text as well, making it very popular to the masses.

Thanks Ivan - You are one of the few to provide valuable technical insight to the community - Some questions from South Africa: Have you reviewed the RaiBlocks code? If so: 1. How secure/vunerable is it, as I believe it was developed by a single developer and not yet been subjected to a formal peer review? 2. Where are the individual block chains stored and how is this incentivised with zero fees? 3. Could Raiblocks (or similar) be used in a Bitcoin sidechain with a 2-way BTC peg similar to RSK? Thanks in advance

Maybe the best technology does not always win, but RaiBlocks also offers an economic incentive, namely zero fees, which almost no crypto has. And if time is money, the transactions are as good as instant, so money is saved there too. It is also one of the most environmentally friendly crypto's because it is probably one of the most energy efficient crypto's as well.

I bought few raiblock, cuz I am curious about functionality.. I tried to send coins on my account, at first I created recieve request (generated new address) and after that send request to my new generated address. And now I am abit confused. As I can see my accounts (currently I have 3) there are spread coins between them, because as I understand for every transaction I have to create recieve request with specific amout that I am awaiting. Is that right? Or should I just transfer everything to my first account? How is that? Can someone explain? Thankss BTW nice videos Ivan! Keep it up!

Thanks for making this RaiBlocks video from a neutral technical perspective. As a developer, I'm also more interested in technology and not the financial discussions. It still has a long way to go. The desktop client is not very usable right now. But given all future developments and experiencing the transactions between clients, I'm very impressed. I don't care if it beats bitcoin by marketcap or not. But I do care about making a difference in payments. If RaiBlocks is really scalable in practices, then I wouldn't mind seeing this crypto a trading pair for all cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin is right now.

Thanks for explaining the block lattice Ivan. You know with the platform coins all going nuts the last 24 hours, I am really perplexed how TRON can overtake EOS in market cap. when they sit side by side it makes you wonder why would it be valued higher than the EOS project??? What's your take on on this Ivan? and is a more significant pump due for EOS?
