What is nephrotic syndrome? Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney disorder where you leak out excessive amounts of protein through your urine and it can lead to all kinds of complications. It can lead to swollen feet, ankles, legs, hands, a swollen belly, and swelling around the eyes. It can also lead to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, blood clots, and even cause kidney failure.

2019 I administered indian herb, kalonji oil mixed with honey and milk to treat persistent cough. Afterwards I noticed certain changes , uneven bodily fatness on ; face and hands. I have low self esteem because of that. What is it?

This is great. It’s unfortunate that some people view their exam as a pass/fail vs prevention and caring for chronic conditions. I would much rather follow the prevention guidance vs falling into the track of diabetes, dialysis edema. Sharing this now

🧡I have been diagnosed with having nephrotic syndrome now progressed to CKD STAGE 5 eGFR IF 12. Also have autoimmune pancreatitis, IGG4-RD, scleritis, parotid gland autoimmune, frequent UTI, and in the last two years developed severe polyneuropathy. I do not have diabetes.

You mentioned bubbles during urination. You also said a few bubbles of foam. Exactly how would describe a small amount of foam/bubbles. Thank you for sharing. ❤

I sometimes have some foam and bubbles..i got checked they said everything looked ok ..i work with kids...a kid didn't flush after peeing and his urine had a bunch of bubbles...

Hi Dr. Frita. I suffered this about seven months ago and I as ok. Few weeks ago at my check up my protein is 3+ in my urine. I have another lab test and then my Dr. will resume a new treatment. I suffered high blood pressure, edema and have a whole lot of fluid in my tummy.

My question is where exactly on a human body are the kidneys, for purposes of locating pain? You said love handles which are just above hips, but all diagrams icluding the graphic in this video show them higher, at the base of the rib cage. Could you get a real human to demonstrate? Thanks.

Hi dr. Frita for years now I have always had a trace of protein in urine, I was on ppi for almost 2 years and I stopped 3 months ago when I realized my protein in urine increased at my last panel. My dr. Wanted to put me back on HBp meds immediately and I said no simply because I don’t think I need it my numbers are good. So I am going back in 2 more months to recheck. My ldl has always been excellent cholesterol high but I did decreased it months ago. Sugar levels no problems. No bubbles in urine etc. I do not want to get back on HBp meds as she thinks this is my only alternative but I do think the panel taken was a false positive it escalated to that # too fast. I’m confident I’m fine but I just don’t want to get back on HBp meds cus I wasn’t able to tolerate it. Any suggestions ?
