I live in Las Vegas and just to get my liver and spleen remeasured to rule out that as cause of abdominal pain took over a year and hundreds of dollars. I'm not who I really am anymore because of WM. It's a nightmare for myself and others similiarly situated. There are treatments and hope but inaccessible because doctors say take a vitamin and come back in 6 months. I had one round of immunotherapy, some IGG, and a combo chemo, plasmapheresis...and it helped 2 years ago in AZ, after going to several doctors, one hospitalized me that day. It's been back since finishing that round with chronic respiratory infections, abdominal pain and severe migraines that last for days..The new treatments are so amazing. I read of one that increases survival to 70 percent. Access is unreachable for those of us that want to live and have our productive lives back for whatever reasons out west. I'm a tough person but this is exhausting. Thank you for what you do. Hopefully my daughters and granddaughters don't inherit it or at least have access to the amazing treatments out there without being denied due to lack of knowledge or insurance denials et al.
