What is Occupational therapy: Occupational therapy helps in making life better. When everyday life activities cannot be carried out, this kind of therapy can make a difference.
Children having autism spectrum face challenges in accomplishing daily activities. With the help of occupational therapy, these hurdles can be crossed, and the children can live their life more freely and without any dependency.
Occupational therapy helps them with self-caring activities like dressing up, eating food on their own, being engaged in productive activities in school, and other co-curricular activities. Leisure that includes gardening, social mixing, etc.

The first step taken by an occupational therapist is to diagnose the sensory profile of the children so that they can be aware of which sense organ needs to be worked upon. Accordingly, exercises are planned out for the betterment of the sensory profile.
The exercises incorporated in the child’s lifestyles are also called a sensory diet. With the advancement of the sensory diet, the child gradually starts to interact more and lead a fairly normal lifestyle.
For example, children with the autistic spectrum make conversations primarily by not making any eye contact, and they get scared often. These characteristics are very well altered by the help of occupational therapy.

Thank you for attempting to explain what O.T. is and appreciate your effort but in video it Says "O.T. ka doosra naam Sensory Integration hai " which is not true as O.T. myself i would like to say When working with children 'Sensory Integration' is an approach used by therapist to enhance participation of children and as O.T we are also working on lot more other things as our main aim is to enhance participation and promote independence in lives of children and their parents as far as possible.
