So in open source basically u select a project u r interested in contributing to and set up the environment and use that software. And i think all code is module based so l think u will be good to contribute even if u dont know all the tech of the project. Like i had installed debian in my comp. It sounds really fun if the people in the community are really helpful for beginner or noob coders.

This can show us how to do it effectively, as this 20-minute video is overwhelming at first sight but just an introductory.
