Should it not be the portion of the total pressure exerted by a particular gas, rather than a single molecule of that gas? Thank you

i dunno if u know this answer to this, but will the concentrations always add up to 1.0? or the equivalent to atmospheric pressure? seems like yes, otherwise vasculature would collapse? (i know this video isn't specifically geared towards physiology, but. . = P) what about in instances of acidosis/alkalosis? total pressure will still be equal to 1.0 except in different concentrations? (i.e., in acidosis, perhaps CO2 is now .08% instead of 0.03% and then oxygen levels might be 20.88%)?
