The way I understand this in the simplest way is the saying "live even if you're going to die". Just because we're going to die doesn't mean we don't live and make plans and have dreams. Or another example is two people, one gets an education even though there's no guarantee he'll get a good job and the other one doesn't because there are no jobs to be had anyway. If an opportunity for a job came along then the one with the education is more deserving of the job because he tried his best unlike the one without.

I like to think Qadr as something written by God based on our actions that he already knew ahead of time. So, God didn't write our Qadr according to where he wants us to go(Heaven or Hell) but where we want to go. I think the concept of Qadr is a message from God that he is the most wise, the all knowing, and is capable of anything.

Allah (swt) presents us with choices at every moment in our lives as free will and guides us to our destiny through these choices that he always knew, SubhanAllah !! In his infinite knowledge and wisdom knows all the infinite permutation and combinations of all variables ever. It is really a illusion of infinite choices we call free will that he (the know-er of all infinities) tests us with whether we choose to acknowledge and submit to him that he may bless us or continue heedless and lost and in worst case deny him at out own peril. The very reason for our existence is to identity through the choices and situations he presents us with and submit to his greatness, in humility. I bear Witness that there is no god or deity worthy of worship but Allah, blessed are all the messengers he send as reminders to mankind.

@isaibnatman21554 жыл бұрын
I think the answer could be simpler. Qadr goes somewhat like this (and Allah knows the Best): • We have 100% free will and all what we INTEND to do, we do by our freewill. • Way before we do, Allah has the list of All our actions with Him, and He ticks all that He agrees with and crosses off all that He disagrees with. • We may intend to do an evil action, and He may have ticked it, and we will end up doing the evil action. And we will be held responsible as it was 100% decided by us to do it. It also 100% according to Allah's will since he permitted it, and if he had crossed it off, it would never have happened. • We may intend to do a good action, and He may have ticked it, and He rewards our actions tenfold. • We may intend an evil action, and it did not happen because He may have crossed it off. He does not punish us (In shaa-Allaah refer Surah Baqarah 2:284-286). • We may attempt to do a good action, and He may have even crossed it off . But he still rewards our intentions and satisfies us. Al-hamdu lillaah!! Disclaimer: terms like "ticking" and "crossing off" was used for representational purposes.

Thank You!!!! I love your lessons. I needed to hear this, especially the ending. May Allah continue to bless you.
The way I like to think of this is in terms of "Ikhtiar" or capacity. God gave us the capacity to do certain things and we have the free will to choose to do or not do those. But there are certain things which our out of our "ikhtiar" and that's where Qadr or pre destination comes in. For example, humans cannot fly-no matter what they do, they can't-it's predestined. We have no "ikhtiar" over it. However, can we walk to the store to get something to eat-yes. Now whether we choose to do that or not is where free will comes in.

@DZ MAghrebi-Muslim Ok I will try to help you understand in simple words. Yes you are true that our will is under Allah's will. So we say 'Inn Shah Allah'. But it does not like that Allah will make things happen if we do not want it or do not put effort on getting it. We have to put effort on getting Allah's guidance and He will guide us. We can not say that -Allah guided His favourite people, He does good to His favourite ones, He gives good things to His chosen ones; it is Allah's decree! No. He guides those people who really want His guidance. If we put really good effort in getting guidance,success, good things and so on then Allah will guide us in the right path,in achieving the things. Our efforts first,then Allah's help. And thus we will be included into His loved ones who seek for His guidance. That is the decree! The example given here denoted that 'the party' is the 'jannah' where we can get in by doing the good things as our effort, because we really want to go to Jannah very badly. If we could make it then we would be able to realize that it actually happened because we wanted it and Allah guided us in that way that we belong to His loved ones. SubhanAllah. That is all I can say in my word about this video. May this help you. May Allah grant you happiness and prosperity in your life. 😊

@DZ MAghrebi-Muslim yes,Right. In the case that our spouses are chosen already. That is true. But I think in the way that if we want a thing really bad but still not get it then it is not best for us. Because Allah knows us what is best for us. If we have the wrong thing we might get hurt. Anyways no matter what Allah is the greatest. Have a nice day brother. May Allah bless you. 😀

There is no pure determinism in Qadr (divine decree/destiny/fate in Islam). And even the deterministic parts of Qadr do not conflict with the concept of "free will". We have the ability to choose, but of course up to some point. First of all, some ppl apparently have a hazardous confusion related with "Allah's will/desire/want" and "Allah's permission". There is no paradox on "Allah's will-humans free will" duo, as some imply and argue. 1) What Allah wills/desires, happens no matter how: *Qur'an surah el-Bakara ayah-117: "The one who created skies and the Earth out of nothing is He(Allah). When He wants something to happen, He just says(commands) 'Be!' and it happens." And what Allah wants for us, is apparently to have the ability to choose: *Qur'an surah Yunus ayah-99: "If your Lord wanted, everyone on the Earth would certainly have absolute faith..." "Allah's will" is we, as human beings, to have "free will". Because we are on the Earth to be tested. Allah does not show His unseen world to us, because He wants us to believe it without seeing it. If Allah showed His unseen world to us, there would be no use of test, because no one then could dare to reject the realm of Allah. 2) Not even a grain of sand can move without Allah's permission (check surah-Yunus ayah-100 and surah-Bakara ayah-102, tough there are more ayahs pointing that as far as I know). Good and evil happen only with Allah's permission; and in the concept of Qadr and free will, human beings and other creatures with free will may use their ability to choose only if Allah gives permit. That is the point of confusion perhaps. USUALLY, WE DO NOT WILL STH BECAUSE ALLAH WILLS SO, BUT BECAUSE ALLAH GIVES US PERMISSION TO DO SO. I say "usually" because sometimes even when we are conscious, Allah might not give us permission to make a choice because He WANTS/wills so. And in such a case of course, we are not in account of that action due to not having the option to choose (being out of "free will"). With Allah's permission (inshAllah) :) this will somehow be clarifying. Secondly, the important thing about destiny/divine decree/fate/Qadr that most people is missing, is Allah's ability to know any event before it happens, and its outcomes before they become reality. One analogy we can do on this issue is throwing a dice: When a dice is thrown on a flat plane on the Earth, there are 6 possible outcomes under normal conditions(1,2,...,6). So we have a very limited number of possible outcomes for this event; yet the determinant factors deciding the outcome are ahead of our understanding due to incalculable and excessive number of factors such as throwing angle&force, density&speed-angle of air, gravity pull force&angle, unpredictable events ending up effecting the dice like touching, momentum&angle of collision, the physical characteristics of the dice itself and the table/plane (solidness, thickness, weight, stiffness etc.), and so on... For us as human beings, any statement for the outcome of this event is no more than a prediction, because we do not have all the parameters and equations, thus we cannot calculate the outcome exactly . But for Allah Subhane we Teala, for "The Creator" of this universe of creations, of course it is a piece of cake to KNOW the outcome. Because He created everything, He might calculate/measure any event, thus He knows how everything will behave and end, including us. Allah is able to calculate anything, He knows every possibility. Allah (swt) has the ultimate knowledge and power. Now take a time when you decide upon sth: The event is "making a choice" just like "throwing a dice". The choice is the outcome, and we have the free will over determining it. All of the parameters of this event (our faith, knowledge, feelings, decisions, abilities, loves, environmental factors etc.) are all exactly known by Allah. So Allah is mighty of knowing the outcome, He always knows what we will decide and do. And this is not predestination! It’s just the outcome of Allah’s almightiness, omniscience and omnipotence. That is an important part of Qadr that most people struggle comprehending it. You may ask yourselves the following question: “Ok, Allah knows everything; about the cosmos, the earth, environmental circumstances, and everything about us including mental and physical characteristics, before they end up in being. But really, how Allah knows which one I will pick among multiple good and bad choices, before I even do it? How Allah knows my intention before I even think?". One cannot have a concrete answer to that question, I suspect. If we could fully understand the abilities of free will and consciousness, perhaps we could be able to produce machines with free will; and this kind of advancement is either prevented by Allah in some ways, or we are not given the intellectual capacity to achieve it. To curb this issue, we may focus on following statements: 1) Allah informs us that He gives us the ability to choose up to some point. 2) Allah informs us that He knows everything. 3) We perceive that we have the ability to choose. It looks like we have free will. So if you accept all three statements above and still not convinced about free will-Qadr correlation, I have to ask you: what is the matter with you? :) Why don't you accept that you have free will? Should you fully understand how the mental and/or physical and/or spiritual&other processes functioning in the background? Allah informs us that we have free will, and we perceive it that way; so what/who keeps you from accepting it as you perceive it? Shayitan (satan) ??? With this deduction, we can get free will out of the concept of Qadr. And about predestination, we should not miss that we have the ability to choose in this life up to some point: -We do not have the choice to pick the family we born in, all the people we meet, our physical appearance, our abilities, our own IQ level etc. -Also even if we're seemingly conscious and free, sometimes Allah might not allow us to choose, and show it as we chose it (we're not responsible in that case tough). These are some predetermined parts of Qadr. So our ability of making choices, aka our free will, is limited and this does not change anything with the test we are facing on the Earth. Because, ALLAH HOLDS US RESPONSIBLE FOR ONLY THE CHOICES THAT WE MAKE FREELY AND CONSCIOUSLY, as far as I know and imagine. The fact that Allah is able to calculate/measure any outcome of our actions and our choices, doesn't change the fact that He gave us the ability to make choices. Our destiny (in Qadr) has surely and exactly been known by Allah(swt) since the start of time. And we do not play our roles in the written destiny, we do not act the way we act because it was written in our destiny so. But because, what we were going to do was known by Allah at pre-eternity, this is because He has the ultimate knowledge & He calculated&measured, and then Qadr/destiny was written by Allah(swt). Stay safe and blessed.

Situations in which one should make sure not to forget to recite dhikr include: eating and drinking, entering and exiting. So when a person eats or drinks something, he should mention the name of Allah (by saying Bismillah), and when he finishes it, he should praise Him (by saying Al-hamdu Lillah). When he enters his house he should mention the name of Allah, when he exits his house, he should mention the name of Allah. Similarly, he should consistently recite the adhkaar of morning and evening, and the adhkaar for going to sleep. As for the hypocrite who conceals disbelief whilst making an outward display of being Muslim, or he is uncertain and has doubts about the religion, he is not keen to remember Allah and does not feel at ease with dhikr, apart from what he does by way of showing off and hypocrisy. Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “Verily, the hypocrites seek to deceive Allah, but it is He Who deceives them. And when they stand up for As-Salat (the prayer), they stand with laziness and to be seen of men, and they do not remember Allah but little” [an-Nisaa’ 4:142].

This explanation of predestination has a few problems. First of all, we have to decide what is the causal factor that determines whether one ends up in hell or in heaven. From what I gleaned, there could be 3 possible factors: 1) God's decree, 2) Human effort or 3) God's decree as well as human effort. NAK maintains it's human effort coupled with God's divine decree that governs a person's fate. Now the question is, does that make sense? I don't think so. So, suppose there is a guy called Ahmed. In order for Ahmed to enter heaven, he must fulfill some requirements, like be a good person, a good practicing Muslim, and so on, so when he dies God grants him heaven. And suppose Ahmed does what is required of him and God grants him heaven. But this is where the problem lies. Did God decree that Ahmed will enter heaven before he fulfilled those requirements or after? If God decreed before he did those tasks then it only means that it was God's decree that caused him to fulfill those requirements and led Ahmed to heaven. And even if Ahmed does not fulfill those requirements, God has already decreed that he will enter heaven, and Ahmed's own actions and efforts do not play any role in God allowing him to enter heaven. If God decreed it afterwards then the concept of predestination simply dissolves away, since it is your own actions and efforts that actually determine whether you'll go to heaven or not. God's decree is simply redundant and serves no purpose. It seems to me you can not have God's decree as well as human effort at the same time to give a satisfactory account of predestination. In my opinion, any attempt at such an account will inevitably fracture into a complete primacy of divine decree, or a complete primacy of human effort, in determining whether one enters hell or heaven.

I believe the answer to your question is that you are attempting to fit God into our linear notion of time. God's power and decree is not bound by our human understanding of space and time.
@Tsuphian8 жыл бұрын
+I.S. That's a perfectly fine reply. But it implies that Qadr is simply not to be understood by us humans and any attempts to explain it, including this video, are futile.
@iffy19888 жыл бұрын
+Sufian Earthling I do agree with you that qadr is something that can never be fully understood by human intellect. But I don't think an attempt to explain it is futile. Let me give you my reasoning below for why I think it is important for us to ponder on the words and commands of Allah (swt). First and foremost, Allah (swt) tells us in the Quran: "A blessed book which we have revealed to you, that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded" (38:29). Reflection on the commands of Allah is an encouraged part of the religion. So I see videos like this one as practicing this recommended behaviour. It is important to try to reason with the various commands. To try to understand the wisdom behind certain decrees that might not be evident immediately. Not only does this act of reflection help you to evolve into a believer vs. simply a follower, but it highlights the vast gap that exists between the intellect of humans and the truly divine wisdom of the All-Mighty, All-Wise. Perhaps our understanding of qadr will evolve as our society evolves. And perhaps it will never progress beyond where it is now. Behind either of these scenarios is the greater wisdom and decision of God. What I leave with at the end of the day after listening to videos such as this is: (1) An appreciation for the greatness of God's plan (2) A better understanding of my limitations as a human (3) Humility over how much mercy God has over his creation. He takes care of our matters in ways that we cannot even begin to understand (4) And the part of me that is still left with questions or doubts - I say to it "Allahu Alam" - Allah knows best. I will continue to reflect and reason. And when I reach the end of my reasoning, I put my trust in Allah's greater wisdom and leave the matter. I believe these grey areas are what make up the essence of this world being a test for us. It is a temporary means leadi g towards something more lasting. We will never truly understand everything happening around us. But the gift we get as believers is the certainty that it is all happening under the watchful eye of God. And we must trust in His plan.

+I.S. Good to know people like you exist. However, if there are too many things within a doctrine that don't make sense and are "beyond human comprehension", you should get at least slightly skeptical of the validity of that doctrine. When you say that perhaps society will someday come to understand the concept of Qadr (or any other matter), it is your tacit admission that Islam is a religion which will place you in heaven or hell depending on how much you are willing to deny "human" logic and reasoning, how much nonsense you are willing to accept. Because that is what Qadr is to humans: nonsense. And tell me, when the Quran encourages you to think and you end up with disbelief, is it really your fault?
@iffy19888 жыл бұрын
+Sufian Earthling Your message gave me good food for thought during my day. I’ve responded individually to some of the points that you have made: I think it is incorrect to draw a linkage between the validity of a doctrine and whether everything in it can be understood/ comprehended. Not being able to understand the full details/thought process/reasoning behind something does not make it any less valid. Instead of lessening the validity of something it highlights for me a lack of knowledge. For example, I cannot understand all of the inner workings of an airplane but that does not make it any less valid for me. I know some of the principles of gravity and acceleration. But if asked to explain I would not be able to provide a satisfactory explanation of how it works. For that I would need to speak to an expert. It’s a crude example but relating it to a religious text, this is how I frame the Quran in my life. The Quran has been sent down as a mercy from God to provide me with guidance on how best to pass this test that we call life. It is not meant to be a full documentation of all divine knowledge. It is a small fragment of God’s knowledge that He has chosen to share with us for our benefit. So the areas that are “beyond human comprehension” are not a weakness of the doctrine. It is a result of God’s greater wisdom in sharing some aspects with us while holding back other pieces of information back. In this incomplete sharing of knowledge is a manifestation of God’s greater wisdom. And it is simultaneously a blessing and a test for humans who must now contend with the teachings of this book. Your conscious decision to see these difficult to understand aspects of the doctrine as “nonsense” is a manifestation of your free will. And my conscious decision to see it as a manifestation of God’s greater wisdom and knowledge is my choice. Both of us have access to the knowledge. And through exercising our own intellect and capacity to reason we have reached different conclusions. And so belief / disbelief is a personal decision and we cannot point a finger at anyone other than ourselves for our decisions. Keep in mind that the concept of Qadr is Islam goes hand-in-hand with the concept of free will. We have been told this life is a test and we have been provided guidance on how to pass this test through the words of the Quran. There are many paths available to us. Whether we choose to implement that guidance in our life or not is our decision to make. Destiny is a descriptive decree, not prescriptive.

NAK straight away assumes that people question Qadre because they want to do 'bad things', whereas I'd imagine this issue would occur to most Muslims simply because it doesn't make sense. NAK seems to be attempting to reassure Muslims and encourage diligence in their faith, however the A list B list story does nothing to address the fundamental problem that is; if my choices are truly my own, then God cannot predestine everything. Therefore the doctrine of predestination must be wrong.

Respectful question: A-list is guaranteed but hidden, B-list is open but you must do tasks to be on it. You can gamble your chance of going to the party by assuming you’re predestined to be on A-list, OR you can admit that you don’t know and will do your best to be on B-list regardless. However, your choice in whether or not you’re gonna gamble it OR do your best is also predestined. It’s decided and written, but also hidden. So you’ll do your best in hopes that you’re predestined to work hard and do your best to be the person who will try and be on B-list, but even THAT choice is already decided and written (predestined). Are any of these a choice if it’s ALL predestined? Even the choice to do your best to be on B-list is predestined. The choice theoretically doesn’t exist. Whether or not you’re even going to the party (heaven) at the end is also already predestined. Where is the true choice? It cannot exist with predestination. I’m having trouble understanding this.

From my understanding, everything that is written in destiny will occur. And if the destiny about us like what I’m gonna do is written, then it will happen. However, I will do it not because its written, I do it because I made the choice (I want it), and that choice of what I did is written. Lets say the destiny of me is X. You can choose wether X will be good or not. Then I choose X to he bad. And yes, its written. But do you wanna blame allah for writing it? No. Because you are the one who chose it. But what if I chose that to be good? And yes IT WILL BE WRITTEN IF THAT WHAT WILL HAPPEN. But the problem is X already happened, then you cant change it. Just like you cant change history or future. But the choices in the futures and the history is in your hand
@e.d.77422 жыл бұрын
@@arifzuhayri7230 Interesting. Okay, let's say your Destiny is "X" (a bad ending for example). This Destiny is written and is the will of God. Is it possible for you to choose to follow Destiny "Y" instead? To go against Qadr? God created everything, and everything that will ever happen is Written. If (example) John Johnson is destined to go to hell, and this is written before the universe is created, is it possible for John to ever go to heaven? According to Islam, it is not. So no matter what John WANTS, his destiny is hell. Yes, he will do the things that make him go to hell, because that is his destiny. But is it even possible for John to change his destiny anyways?
@arifzuhayri72302 жыл бұрын
@@e.d.7742 Well, sorry if I commented this is not-so-perfect way, I’m not a native speaker. As I said before, the destiny, too depends on your choice. So the destiny, whatever will happen relies on your choice as well as god’s permission. Lets say that John want to go to heaven, but he is destined to go to hell. The answer depends on your definition of “want”. If he became a muslim and really pious he rarely commits small sin let alone big sins and he has passes all the requirements to go to heaven, but he is destined to go to hell. Will he go to hell? Well I would say that the question doesnt sound logical. Its like 1+1=0. Why? Cuz the destiny will not contradict. Allah knows that he passed then it doesnt make sense (sorry if this sounds offensive) if he is destined to hell. Can he change the destiny? No he cant. There are choices that you have to made, the destiny (most of them), depends on your choice. As I said before, you cant change what you will choose or what you have done, but it depends on your choice. There are some arguments against god, that kinda has relation with destiny. It sounds like “If God exists, then why do evil exists? Isnt he powerful enough to prevent it from happening?” Surely you can find the relation between those. Furthermore, Allah too said that we humans are special creatures. We have choices, thats why we will get what we’ve done on dunya. Thats the reason why some people go to hell, and others go to heaven, it’s because of their choices. But what about angels, why aren’t they punished like some of us (or maybe, get to enjoy the heaven)? Since they too are “controlled” by destiny? Actually, this is what differs us from angels, we have choices, unlike them. We can choose to do anything, unlike them who dont have choices but to follow allah commandments (since they are made differently, without nafsu)
@e.d.77422 жыл бұрын
@@arifzuhayri7230 thank you for your in-depth response. I am confused though. If you "can't change what you will choose" because everything in your life is predetermined by destiny (and Gods will, he decided it before he created everything), then is it really a choice for John? He can't change his destiny, he can't make a choice that goes against Gods will. So if God wrote that he will go to hell, John can never do anything or make any choice that will lead him to go to heaven.
@arifzuhayri72302 жыл бұрын
@@e.d.7742 yes, it is a choice. Even if it sounds like not a choice. For example, lets say there are 2 balls in front of me. God wrote that I will grab the x ball. We dont know yet what x is. But I have the choice, to grab one of them. Later, I picked up the first ball. Then it turned out to be X ball The question is, if I have grabbed the second ball, will the x ball turn out to be second ball? There are 2 answers, Yes and No. Why “no”? Since you have made the decision and now you cant change your decision that you’ve done. Why “yes”? It is only a yes, if you chose the second ball, instead of the first ball in the situation. 1st situation: I grabbed the first ball, the x ball turned out to be the first one 2nd situation: I grabbed the second ball, the x ball turned out to be the second one. There can only be one ball written in the destiny. Either the first one, or second one. Cant be both at the same time

And it was narrated from him that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever says ‘Laa ilaaha ill-Allah wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer (There is no god except Allah alone with no partner; to Him be dominion and praise, and He is Able to do all things)’ one hundred times in a day, will have reward equivalent to that of manumitting ten slaves, one hundred good deeds will be written for him, one hundred bad deeds will be erased from his record, and he will have protection from the Shaytaan all that day until evening comes; no one will do anything better than what he has done, except a man who does more than that.” And he said: “Whoever says ‘Subhaan Allaahi wa bi hamdihi (Glory and praise be to Allaah)’ one hundred times in a day, his sins will be erased, even if they are like the foam of the sea.” Agreed upon. The dearest of words to Allah are: Subhaan Allah wa bi hamdihi (Glory and praise be to Allah).” Narrated by Muslim. It was narrated that Abu Maalik al-Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Purification is half of faith, ‘al-hamdu Lillaah’ fills the Balance and ‘Subhaan-Allah’ and ‘al-hamdu Lillaah’ fill the space between heaven and earth.” Narrated by Muslim. It was narrated that Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqaas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A Bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: Teach me some words that I may say: He said: “Say: ‘Laa ilaaha ill-Allah wahdahu laa shareeka lah, Allahu akbaru kabeeran, wal hamdu Lillahi katheeran, wa subhaan Allahi Rabb il-‘Aalameen, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa Billah il-‘Azeez il-Hakeem ( There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner or associate, Allah is most great, much praise be to Allah, glory be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Almighty, the Most Wise).” He said: These are for my Lord; what is there for me? He said: “Say: ‘Allahumm aghfir li wa’rhamni wa’hdini wa’rzuqni (O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me and grant me provision).” Narrated by Muslim.

I the Karamat of Awliya Allah is also predestined.. Orthodox Muslims believe everything is written. Even if someone will spend in the way of Allah عز وجل like mount Uhud, Allah سبحانه وتعالى will not accept it unless he believes in Fate.

He was trying to send rasollullahs secret plan to attack makkah during the conquest of Makkah because he wanted to save the lives of his family and relatives back in Makkah. So if Allah already promised rasollullah victory his betrayal would not make a difference he thought. But he was wrong

I didnt get any wiser from this video. Is the term predestination used for God knowing the future ahead of time or is it used for pples life events being predestined? 🤔 Some pple say there r specific things wich r predestined, such as who a person is marrying and when a person is going to die etc. But if predestination means God knows things ahead of time, isnt then everything predestined? ( Since God knows everything ahead of time, not just who u r marrying and when u r dieing etc.) 🤔 This is just confusing while its a Very important topic since its 1 of the pilars of imaan (!) Can some1 plz explain? Thx.

I can explain it. In actually predestination is real. Everything has been decreed. Your actions, your death, birth everything! Again, you have free will too. What you do is your choice and you are responsible for it. Allah's decree and your choice somehow work together, but how it happens nobody knows.

My brothers and sisters still I am confused by his party analogy. Because Allah has willed that we will want to go to the party, it was not our choice to want to go. So actually my efforts are only because Allah has willed them - I am still not choosing anything. Can someone explain?
@gogetem3403 жыл бұрын
@Joel Spaxman Allah in his knowledge about the future events and what we are capable of doing, he has already written it in a book. Now, we are not enacting it (it's not a play). We have been given free will and out of our free will we are making those decisions that were written about previously. If God gave us heaven or hell just on the basis of his divine knowledge, we/ humans would complain about the unfairness of God that he claims that we would have done so and so, but we think we wouldn't do that had we been in that situation. So, after we make those decisions ourselves using our own intellect as nobody is coming to tell us what to do in any aspect of our life .. it is our own effort that determines whether we will be among the guided ones or misguided ones. Allah has not 'willed' for us to go to the party. It is our innate disposition of our mind+soul that wants to do something. We have free will. Angels do not have free will so they do as they are commanded. We can think, reason agree or disagree.

@@Hello-vt6yc what irks me is our own agency. Allah is omnipotent. Clearly, we are not outside of his ultimate divine decree-if allah hasnt willed for something to happen, it won't. And i would assume that nothing can possibly exist outside of Allah's influence. So, all my actions-either good or bad, would never happen if allah hadn't willed them to. If we try and say, allah just _knows_ about my actions, then that implies that allah does not excercise any control over my actions actively, implying that there exist domains that are OUTSIDE Allah's divine decree. In other words the implication is that allah is not omnipotent. But obviously we know he is, but then that means that we dont have any control over our deeds, but then that negates the concept of heaven and hell entirely if we dont control our own actions! In essence what im trying to ask is-if today i go and decide to a good deed, who actually made that choice? And if i decide to go and do a bad deed tomorrow, who made that choice? My own will? Or allah? They can't both exist at once because one contradicts the other. I. E. My will cant exist independently from Allah's will
