Interesting - it’s a model for how many immune defenses work internally (another example of the fractal nature of creation). I would speculate that superior nutrient sources make a more effective propolis. So perhaps the answer to stronger more resilient bees could lie in identifying helper species. Then troubleshooting beehive health could consist of identifying not only local plant sources as a source of food but for its immune function and response. Personally, I would wonder about pine resin, echinacea and other herbal medicinals. if specific helper plants and trees could be identified that boost propolis creation or its “strength” then beekeepers everywhere could make a point to plant those to help their bees.

Does propolis tincture ever expire? I'm making my first batch. I don't plan on selling it but I will have quite a lot for just my use. How long does it store?

I have had some for at least ten years....had the bee keeper blend it in Shea butter and petroleum jelly. Can ward off colds as well with the tincture. His may have been 50% alcohol...unsure because the label is in Russian. The warning is in English.

Fantastic video.... I would say though your interpretation of Propolis isn't quite right.... Pro means good. Polis means community so the literal translation is for the good of the community!
