Over-simplified definition of the policy process unfortunately. Not all policy occurs through the political process (nor should it be). Sometimes decision-making is delegated. Not all policy is rules - the decision to give (or not give) your son or daughter $5 to spend on something is also a policy. And sometimes policy is just sharing information. People can influence policy beyond voting and protest and indeed some have more influence than others.

The only thing I wanted to know from the presentation of the processor is that her definition of the term policy seems to have a similar meaning with law. How ever , I would like her to give a clear distinction between public policy and law.
