Not really, look at the long term trends. It flying up 1000% then dropping 50% and repeating over 10 years is no longer a pump and dump instead that's just the market trend.

There is no longer a need for pump and dump (with false information). Now, it is done in the form of manipulation of the actual stock price by simply buying or selling shares. Most small caps (about 6-12 each day) are run up to dizzying heights after market and in the pre-market, where the price can be pumped on light volume, and at a time when most retail traders are not trading. The stocks chosen for this are mostly of little to no value, and normally don't have news, or they use old news regurgitated. Many of them have traded 10-20K per day for months. Then all of a sudden they are trading millions of shares. The next morning on the open, they dump their shares, usually within the first few minutes, then walk away or short the stock and collect more profit by chasing out or stopping out the public who bought on the open. They manipulate the stock price in such a manner to create the technical patterns that the public uses for triggers or signals to entice them into the stock. They create momentum to attract the momentum players. And they know about where most people place their stops so they can run those, on top of the fact that they have the open order books of most of the retail brokers and can front run or run stops on the stocks.

I love me some pump&dump in crypto. Especially in low market cap coins, if there is movement, plenty of retail traders jump on in and if there soon isnt any movement you can prepare your short positions :)

A question about daily routine, - how do you forecast by looking at the nightly activity, what happens in the day ... ? There are various strategies, but some are suited for trending markets and some not. So the early you know that, the better. Imho there is no simple answer, i doubt that looking at 30 mn chart will help.

@@ukspreadbetting Any idea what will do the Euro today ? Seems to me that this high volatility means, it will not break the 1.22 level. Hum... the volatility is asymmetric, it means that the bears didn't fight until the price went up, and then toward the downside, they sold... and they were stronger than the bulls.

Hi Mark, was looking through your library of content for anything on EA's and possible Backtesting, do you use EA's as a trading tool? I am using a Grid EA which works well, but when I backtest, it doesnt always give consistent results. Interested in your thoughts. Thanks!

Do we really have to retest the f*** 1.22, why not simply go down.. ? I will follow your advice to only focus on a few things... Another thing, yesterday, ema(200) was bearish, but OBV was globally bullish. So what does that mean ? I really have no clue...
