What is PWM? | be quiet!

A few years ago I found some cheap 4th gen ASRock motherboards that treat DC fans like PWM ones, by simply turning the 12V power on and off. Those fans only lasted a few months before they started shaking due to the bearings becoming loose, if you hold a blade you could feel the powering on and off like 5 times per second, and that only happened with the fans connected to that motherboard.

It's the same with a servo tester or the throttle in RC tech. I made a Raspberry Pi Pico act on a signal line to an ESC/Motor and got a cool propeller going (0-100% with some buttons). Another signal line can provide input from a temperature sensor, so it's way more interesting. Solar controllers can also use it towards the battery, so the sun (solar panels) don't give too much voltage and charge at a suitable level.

I like your products and just the other day wedged a 120mm and a 140mm Silent Wings 3 into the PSU compartment of my Dark Base Pro 900 rev2! Right behind the Dark Power 11 750W! I like the airflow and thermals in that case. But I have to reduce my front fans by one to add the 5.25" bays and add some 4SSD bay compartments and a 3.5" Hot Swap bay. But the beauty of your components is they are so modular and durable! I have 3 140mm and one 120mm intake fans now all coming through filters. And one 140 and two 120mm exhausts. (all Silent Wings 3). And I put three Silent Wings on the Dark Rock Pro4 cooler. Temps stay nice, it looks nice and it's nice and quiet! And yet it runs 24/7 at 100% CPU. Dependable stuff, thanks! Yes, it cost more than the customary fan types and quantity. But I can walk away from this for 12 hours without concern.

So for me who has the silent base 802 case which has a central fan speed management with 3 pin slots, I should be looking for a non-PWM fan, right?

Thats right, a 3 Pin Fan will work best on the fan huub of the 802.

So can i put Case Cooler Be quiet Pure Wings 2 ony my CPU cooler and plug it in 4 pin and everything will work alone just fine?

It depends on whether your cooler is suitable for a Pure Wings 2 to be installed on it. Please check your motherboard manual for the location of the CPU cooler connector (CPU_FAN). This should be used and not just any PWM header.

Badly explained. Voltage regulated fans also spin faster and slower depending on cpu temp.
