I found out for myself and also saw it in other videos: the Radiant 1-click result often is very very close to the reseult, you receive after endless tuning in other apps. It just starts on the other end, the result. Plus a lot of fintetuning can be done, if you want to finetune the first result. A timesaver. If you want less noise in your fotos, change to a night-smartfilter.

I have bought this. If you have perfectly clear there is an owner discount of £30. I see this as a starter or finisher. My work flow would be photo ai, on1, then finish in radiant. Scott Davenport in his review found it gave improvement to his edited files. Much faster than luminar.

Who would you think this software is for? It seems new imaging editing software is being released every other day. I'm not sure I'd lay down $129 US for this particular software. I guess having so many to choose from is good for the consumer, but can be quite difficult to make a selection. Are you taking on another software editing program to make tutorials for?

I am a cocreator of the app... I can assure you it does much more. Many run it on their finished photos with the Radiant Subtle settings. Works very well. Also has a whole set of color grading tools.

I used Perfectly Clear for a while, because I got it in a deal with Corel Paintshop. Then I tried the trial of Radiant, and ..... it's results are basically the same. As a quick 0ne-click editor it produces the same kind of images as Perfectly Clear did. OK-ish but nothing special when compared to my own editing results with Lightroom, which are in general always better. Radiant results are often a bit over the top and especially de handling of noise and fine details are not nice. Yes, you can adjust a lot, but then you use as much time as you would do in any other (better) photo editor. So who is this for? Well, I guess for photo editing in a hurry or for people who don't want or can't put the time and effort in editing their photos. But as any photographer knows, the art of photography is not just about pushing the shutter button at the right time and place, but it's also about delicate post processing to make the most of the image. It has always been that way and it will always be that way. Ask Ansel and Cartier Bresson who spent about as much time taking pictures as on post processing. O, I forgot to say that Radiant in it's current form is hard to use for RAW files, because you first have to use Adobe Camera RAW to convert images. Too much hassle. But for less demanding photographers it might be useful. But it doesn't come cheap. It's on the expensive side for what it is.

Hi Ron... Try opening up 10 of your finished photos... that you are 100% in love with. Run them in subtle mode and see if it doesn't still find flaws and exposure problems.
@ronjopp71692 жыл бұрын
@@RichardHarrington Of course I tried that. With Perfectly Clear and with Radiant. With very similar results. It's a bit hit and miss. 'Easier' pictures (that need less post processing) are handled well, but images that really 'need' post processing to become pretty (difficult light conditions, high contrast, high spatial frequencies, etc.) are not handled that well. With the latter it's almost impossible to get the same results with Radiant as with Lightroom (or other full fledged editors) and certainly not as easy. To post process difficult images takes a lot of effort with Radiant and often not with the best results. But even with images that have already been post processed well with other editors, running them through Radiant often gives 'difficult' results, because it mainly always does the same tricks. Adding contrast and sharpening, because other variables (exposure, color casts, etc.) have already been edited to perfection. It often creates extra noise, halos and artifacts. That's not what you want. So Radiant is less of a miracle than advertised. It's not a One-Click editor for best results. It's still hard work to get the best results and that's fine with me.
@GoodyMorillas Жыл бұрын
Results are basically the same because Perfectly Clear is now Radiant Photo. End-of-Life (EOL) for Perfectly Clear Complete Software will be December 31, 2022. You can experience all this innovation and what we’re working on in the future with Radiant Photo. This is the next generation of the Perfectly Clear software. Radiant is a team of passionate photographers that will be able to support you and build a community around photography better than we ever did, while allowing us to continue to focus on what we do best - technology innovation.

Hi, have you noticed that radiant photo or perfectly clear photos produce very low quality images, meaning the edits are great but when you zoom into the photo the pixel quality is so low and poor, almost like it’s filled with noise, color noise, and very low pixel information. Have you noticed that or is it just me?

Nice demo, congrats! Unfortunately, RADIANT PHOTO doesn’t recognize RAF format from Fuji cameras, it’s necessary to convert the RAW files into DNG files before editing. That takes time and space on the computer. This new software creates vivid images indeed. The help team is very reactive.

If your OS recognizes it, Radiant opens it. There's a download recommended for Windows users that is listed on the page that helps.

Do we really need another image editing program?
@DB-wx1zs8 ай бұрын
These aren’t full image editing programs, they’re more like advanced add-ons, or plug-ins that you can use alongside the major photo editing softwares. Also sometimes photographers have old images that they never used because it seems impossible to edit, but once they uploaded it to this software or similar AI softwares, instantly the image they thought was no good came to life!

It is a pixel editor, not a DAM. If you want to make a resumable version, the Photoshop Smart filter works well for that. Or open the file and just save a preset. You can then reuse that preset on the file again.

There is a litany of photo editing software that examines aspects of the photo properties: exposure, color, contrast, clarity, etc, etc. To that end, the software assumes an auto recourse to correct the image to a base concept, then to which manual changes can be made. I believe this type of software is targeted to more of the beginner and hobbyist that the pro, who would rather have positive control for editing. While AI makes for advantages such as masking, content aware fill, etc. as selectable tools to edit, photographers must first understand the exposure triangle and composition if they are to succeed in artistic editing with any software application. Putting the camera in Auto is NOT enough....

I used to own part of a software development company. The team wanted to build a combined calendar/contacts/email/etc program. My question to them was, what are you bringing to the new program that’s better than Outlook, the Apple suite or any of the dozen of others out there? They couldn’t provide any answers, so they decided to use their talents to develop a different program, that sold well. Hence my question - given that Radiant doesn’t appear to do anything different or better than the multiple other programs out there - why?

The market is already overly saturated with such common software, and Radiant Photo does nothing whatsoever that all of the others do, often better and at a lower price. Radiant Photo is so painfully generic, it should be freeware; even then, I wouldn't bother with it.

Radiant Photo is the new version of Perfectly Clear Complete. I think it is really good software. But I have asked, first the people behind Perfectly Clear Complete, and now the people behind Radiant Photo, to create a plugin for Affinity Photo. To this date, there is not a plugin for Affinity Photo. Also, I have asked the same to the people at Serif (Affinity). I was expecting that maybe with version 2, there will be a plugin for Radiant Photo, but no. So, after all those years of Perfectly Clear and Affinity on the market, there is not a plugin to open Radiant from Affinity. It is disappointing.

Hi Jose, we use the Perfectly Clear engine, but have built our own app on top of that. It's a different company. As fast as Serif goes... we've reached out a dozen times trying to get their assistance and approval to be a plugin. Absolutely no answer.
