As Bix Weir has said, when silver pops over $30, the next level is $50 and won't take too long to get there. From that point, the COMEX silver is broken, shorts lose control, HSBC goes into negative equity on their short positions, and the silver is free to run.

Back in 2011, the Gold/Silver ratio was able to hit 32.. I'd be happy if it can get anywhere near that again. In today's gold value, a 32 ratio would be around 67 bucks for Silver. I know... If you think that $100 Silver is right around the corner...just think what that means for the Dollar and the Economy in the US. Think about the larger implications and how things will change on a large scale if that actually happens anytime soon. If it's orderly and it happens in 10-15 years then it might be ok. However if it happens in a rush as the Dollar plunges, mass unrest and destruction will occur (not a likely scenario because the general public is asleep at the wheel). Lastly what folks should be wanting to see happen is the slow/gradual move of Silver and Gold upward with short spurts in upward mobility, this would be sustainable and give the precious metals some solid permanent gains and not spikes that will lead to freefall on the other side or extreme damage to the Dollar itself and all the repercussions that come with that.

Silver in particular is a heavily managed market. With entities taking delivery off of COMEX, in rather large amounts... Ad current mining ratios, and the 1 to 90 ratio... what was it traditionally? 1 to 7 or 8. So yeah, something is going to give.

There's also been 40 years of demand destruction, particularly for silver. People in 1980 still viewed silver as money and a desirable luxury. Your average 20-yr old today has none of that appreciation for the metal. That's a tough thing to overcome when much of the prior money silver has converted into bullion silver to flood the metals market. The loss of the photography silver market was also a killer.

I just went to sell some gold and silver and I only got 97% spot price for my gold and they were minted and I barely got spot price for my silver and I was able to get a dollar over spot for my ASE Seems like many people are selling and so the dealers are not paying premiums

In Sweden we have old silver coins (80 %...until around 1938)...I bought a few at a second hand site and thought it would be funny if it would be the future, to pay with (old) silver coins, instead of printable toilet-paper, lol. There's another story. Someone here in Sweden started to invest into gold and platina bullion, then it was put into the wall of the house and the owner died. The new buyers found the treasure but now others also wanted a piece of it (worth 1 million USD)...so that person who invested into it had no joy out of it anyway...so much for investing for the "future". :-)

I’m not gonna say silver is going to any specific number in any specific timeframe, but I will point to the importance of silver being “tamped down” whereas it concerns the banking system. $24-25 silver isn’t a natural number. Heavily manipulated, moreso than any commodity on the planet. Ask yourself why they do that, and when you find the answer, it points to a much higher silver price at some point.

It's going to be determined by who wants it the most, and at what volume will they need it, or whether it will be a long-term contract. There's lots of silver. The question is, is there enough for this worlds increasing appetite for everything that uses silver? I think there is, but not by any terms for the long run. Recycling, at best, might one day feed the photovoltaic industry. That would actually be awesome. But I don't see mining landfills as a logical option at all. Some things are best left buried.

I tried to remind myself that I'm doing this as a store of wealth that will be great for my retirement and still have some left over for the kids when my wife and I pass.... patience is a virtue... Btc wise, I cashed out 1/4 of my holding from 2015 into gold and silver (silver heavy 😁)... And once it hits my next target of 100k I'll be selling another 1/4th of in and the last 50% I'll hodl till 2030 - 2035.... crypto allowed me to set my set up well in Precious Metals... But over all it was risky but I got in a long time ago and I got lucky.. Found out today that Monument Metals will charge you a $25 fee plus any market loss if you cancel an order they did not ship. Unreal. I hate having to take companies off my trusted list and they sometimes have good deals.

I've never had any issues with them. In fact, I just got an order today from them. Why would you cancel after placing an order?

@@JohnD-JohnD They did not send the order, so I cancelled. Just like anybody else would. Now, instead of paying their extra fees I have to wait for who knows how long. They dropped the ball and never have before, but there has been talk of some online dealers going under soon. I wonder if they are one of them.

Purchasing metals is a contractual obligation. Once you agree to purchase, the dealer locks in that order at that price. If you don’t buy it and the price drops, who should have to pay, the buyer who broke the contract or the dealer? If the dealers take that loss, everyone would order and simply cancel if the price drops before payment is made. They didn’t do anything wrong. The $25 fee is unreasonable in my opinion. I’ve cancelled once before and since the price was up at the time, they let it go. But I’m a long time reliable customer.

@@georgeorwell3501 They did not ship the order. I asked if there was problem, they said no problem, and...they still did not ship the order, this went on for two weeks. After that I said give me my money back, and then I found out about the fee's. It was not on pre-sale either. I never had a problem with them before. Its like they are different company than just a short time ago.
