Otherwise, they'll have up to 120 days after your interview to make a decision , I meet my wife January 2017 and we applied for k1 visa and the k1 visa denied 2018 and we got married 2019 and after got married , we applying for CR1 visa I get approve and now i get the interview 04/04/2024 for citizenship and I'm still waiting for the decision more than 120 days . We are all equal.

It should not be a problem. You can explain, if asked, that you were advised to do so by your tax preparer in order to get the best tax treatment by the IRS.

I had a green card on Jan 8 2018 and I went to my country for 2 years and came back on a July 2nd 2021 and still had my green card.And I have applied for citizenship and when doing N-400 the officer said that I could not get citizenship because I left for 2 years but they did not count the years before 2018 can you confirm this. Hi this video was really helpful. I have been in the USA in January 2020 and I received my SS and green card about a week later. I didn’t work that year (2020) thus I haven’t filed taxes for that year. However, I have filed taxes for 2021 and 2022. Hello. Yes it is possible to do that. Some Field Offices will not adjudicate the I-751 and the N-400 at the same time, so be ready for that issue.

Check the date of your NJ Driver's license. Is it more than 3 months? Do you have a lease there for more than 3 months? Think about how you established your residency in NJ and when.
