Love the advice. I am in the middle of my N400 application. I have been here in the US for 3 years and married to an American. My question is...They are asking for 5 years of travel outside of the US. I lived in Canada before. Do I need to add the 2 years of Travel from Canada to France, even though I was not living in the US and did not travel out of the US during the 3 years I have been here. Question please?: I did not apply for my wife's permanent resident card before the first 7 months upon arrival into JFK. I think you'd need to apply for the actual permanent residency 90 days prior your conditional gc expires because you need to be at least a gc holder (conditional or permanent) for at least 3 years before you're qualified for citizenship.

Hello, I just want to ask about my situation, I am a greencard holder right now but I am outside the USA for almost 2 years now because of my studies and I plan to stay in the US again for a year and apply for another re-entry permit for 2 years so that I can finish my studies, Question: does being a permanent resident still counts? Because after I graduated I plan to stay in the US and apply for a citizenship, the requirements I saw would be, I must be a permanent resident (greencard holder) for 5 years and I have to be physically living for 2.5 years in the USA, right now my greencard would be almost 3 years, but I need to go back to my home country to finish my studies after applying for a 2nd re entry permit what I want to know if being a permanent resident or green card holder I have to be physically present in the US for 5 years also? Or the counting for 5 years of my greencard is still valid even though im outside US.

How do one know the status of his visa while working under H2B? Before they left the country of origin, the visa is only valid for 9months. However the H2B visa holder had a renewal of their contract. We will appreciate your input on this matter.
