Because I’m not a teen, please feel free to ignore my questions. Maybe I misunderstood you but did you say, “God loves us so much that he provided a way for us to pay the penalty for sin through the death of Jesus Christ”? Is there any sense in which WE pay the penalty for sin? (It sounds like that is what you are saying.) Is death the penalty for sin? Or is an eternity of suffering in hell the penalty for sin? Is eternal life in heaven the reward for telling God something? What is your concept of heaven? Will Christians be in heaven forever? Did both the psalmist and Jesus say the meek will inherit the earth? How is your concept of heaven different from your concept of the new Earth?

Thank you for your questions! We'll try to answer each one of them... 1. Is there any sense in which WE pay the penalty for sin? - Yes and no? We cannot DO anything to EARN salvation from the penalty for sin. What happens is that we CHOOSE to accept the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. More on that here: 412teens.org/qna/how-can-I-be-saved.php 2. Is death the penalty for sin? Or is an eternity of suffering in hell the penalty for sin? - The death that is spoken of in Romans 6:23 is a spiritual death. So yes, hell is where those who reject God will be eternally separated from Him upon their physical death. (Also see Romans 3:23-24.) 3. Is eternal life in heaven the reward for telling God something? - Eternal life with God is the gift we are promised when we have accepted God's forgiveness through Christ. (See Romans 6:23; John 14:2; John 3:16-17.) 4. What is your concept of heaven? - The Bible tells us that heaven is God’s throne (Isaiah 66:1; Acts 7:48-49; Matthew 5:34-35). After Jesus’ resurrection and appearance on earth to His disciples, “He was taken up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God” (Mark 16:19; Acts 7:55-56). “Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; He entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence” (Hebrews 9:24). Jesus not only went before us, entering on our behalf, but He is alive and has a present ministry in heaven, serving as our high priest in the true tabernacle made by God (Hebrews 6:19-20; 8:1-2). 5. Will Christians be in heaven forever? - Actually, no! Heaven is not the eternal home of the Christian. Second Corinthians 5 also points out that while in heaven, away from the body, we look forward to our resurrection body. Too often, eternity with God is pictured as sitting on clouds and playing harps. Human beings were created with physical bodies, and those who have become children of God by faith in Christ are waiting for new physical, material bodies. We also know that the current heavens and earth (as referred to in Genesis 1:1) will be destroyed and replaced with new heavens and a new earth “where righteousness dwells” (2 Peter 3:12-13). 6. How is your concept of heaven different from your concept of the new Earth? - These are 2 different places. Revelation 21:1-5 records this scene: “Then I saw ‘a new heaven and a new earth,’ for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death” or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’ He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’” 7. Did both the psalmist and Jesus say the meek will inherit the earth? - Yes! In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus opens with a series of statements known as the Beatitudes. The third Beatitude is “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5). Jesus’ words echo Psalm 37:11, which says, “The meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.” The Psalms were a part of Scriptures that had been studied for centuries already, and Jesus often recited or reiterated passages that the people of the time would have been familiar with.

Theres more to it than just believing those facts... the greek word believe meant much more. Even satan believes that.
